Went to Eberly at the reccomendnation of a good friend, The occasion was my birthday. The evening did not disappoint. Starting at the hostess station where we were greeted warmly and ushered to our seats in the back bar area called the cedar tavern We chose to sit at the bar and we were warmly ackknowleded and greeted by Conner and Christin. The tag team at the bar were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. We had classics and a couple new artisan drinks added to the menue by Conner. So good !! Conner walked us through the menu , explained the dishes and we chose, oysters, pasta with oyster mushrooms and baked chicken and finished with Salmon over Risoto. One of the finest meals Ive had in Austin. Tommy, gave us personal tour and regaled us with the rich history of the Restaurant and the origin of the name Eberly . 5 out of 5 for every category.

We had an outstanding experience at this restaurant during a team outing from work. The staff went above and beyond, offering customized menus that perfectly catered to our group. The food was extraordinary each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable, and the cocktails and wine were reasonably priced, not inflated like many other places. Every bite was delicious, and the chefs performance truly deserves a Michelin star. This place is a must-visit, and we cant wait to come back! Highly recommended!

Went here a couple weeks ago, the service was fantastic. At the end the manager gave us a tour of their bar. Atmosphere was really unique - we sat in the atrium. I had the salmon and was transported by the flavors. Everything worked so well together. The butteriness of the salmon was complemented by the crunchy texture of the sticky rice paddy underneath and the sauce with it had the perfect level of acidity. I wasn t a fan of the fried green tomatoes. I had a regular unsweetened tea and it was really herbal and robust. If you don t drink alcohol it s a great alternative and felt special. I was really impressed over all. The precessional service was appreciated.

We started at a happy hour in the speak easy office. Great drinks and appetizers, our group is a bunch of talkers, and so it was very loud. In leaving the happy hour, I saw the beautiful back bar, and the friendly bartenders told me the story of this Tiffany bar being from Tribeca. One of the bartenders walked me to our table and suggested the mushroom tempura, and I had already seen the beef Tartare. Our server said the mussels were exceptional, so we chose to go with her suggestion. All these dishes were phenomenal! Flavors were bright and fresh. The mussels have a little bit kick...spicy and delicious! Top notch experience

Took my husband to Eberly for his birthday after reading reviews or hearing about the restaurant from friends. It did not disappoint. We went there with the idea in mind that we were going to take our time and try as much as possible. Our server, Brenden, was along for the ride with us and helped us determine pairings as we set up different courses, and timed things to come out so they didnt overlap and so we really werent waiting. We started with the Crudo which was so flavorful and delicious (albeit small portions, but also sort of what we were expecting) and we also got the Bread and Butter (Japanese milk rolls) which were yummy and fluffy and just the right amount of salty. Great way to start the meal. We moved on to the cheese board which was an experience all in itself. We enjoyed the cheeses, jams, bread, nuts, honey comb, and fruit. We were expecting to just sample a little of everything on the board but we pretty much cleared it. For entrees, I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the short rib. The salmon was AMAZING. Cooked medium and over a crispy rice cake, it had all the flavors and textures. It felt light but filling (also could have been all of the other food we ate). It came with romanesco (think broccoli looking meets cauliflower tasting) and it was the right amount of earthiness to round out the citrus-y bites I fit on each fork. I didnt try the short rib but my husband said it was very good. It was on the heavier side so he had to push himself a little bit. He had it with the Mykonos Rising (from the cocktail menu) but subbed mezcal for the vodka. In his words, the drink moreso brought of the rib-flavor he expected and he may have been more disappointed in his dish if the drink didnt round it out. Overall, 5 out of 5 for the food, experience, and service. Would definitely go back (when we budget for it). Kid-friendliness: We have a toddler who is definitely not ready to eat out at this type of establishment. That being said, we saw 2 other tables near us with very adorable, well-behaved 6-8 year olds and it looked lovely. Cant wait to bring my kid back in 4-5 years when he starts listening to us.

First of all, PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THEIR HEALTH & WELLNESS FEE being charged to paying customers. We were surprised to find an automatic Health and Wellness fee added to our bill. Apparently, this charge is to cover their employees health insurance. While we support fair compensation and benefits for staff, such fees should be clearly communicated upfront, not sprung on customers without prior notice, and essentially not charged to customers. Why are we paying for this? I recently visited Eberly in Austin with five friends from Houston, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. While the restaurant itself is undeniably beautiful with its chic decor and inviting ambiance, our dining experience left much to be desired. Despite making a reservation weeks in advance and specifically requesting to be seated in the dining area, we were placed in the bar. The bar area was so dimly lit that it was nearly impossible to see anything, which was quite frustrating and set a negative tone for the evening. The service was notably slow, adding to our disappointment. We waited an excessive amount of time for our food, which, when it finally arrived, was a major letdown. The portions were incredibly small, barely enough to satisfy anyone s appetite. For the prices we paid, we expected much more in terms of both quality and quantity. The food, though presented nicely, was bland and utterly not worth the premium prices. Given the high expectations set by the restaurant s stunning interior and the hype surrounding it, we left feeling disappointed and regretful that we hadnt done more thorough research or heeded previous reviews highlighting the same issues we encountered. Eberly may be a feast for the eyes, but it certainly isn t for the stomach. I would advise future patrons to consider these points and manage their expectations before visiting. There are plenty of other places in Austin that offer a better dining experience with food that justifies the cost.

First off, the place is beautifully unique on the inside. As a book lover and gardener, it was absolutely my jam. Regarding the menu, I had to take my time in finding something to order. But with that being said, I must admit that Im weary of trying new things, so I went with the chicken caesar salad. The salad was $13 plus an additional $12 for the protein. $25 is more than Id typically pay for that but I must say that it was so good. The chicken was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well.

Wonderful tavern. Mussels need a better broth and fresh bread. Tuna poke light on ounces and heavy on price. Need more local beer and IPA on tap. Taps were broken and the same four taps were their only four cans. Sauce on tavern burger needs improvement. Service should be serving faster and more often. Big building and not near full. Need to improve service and the fine details. Want to see this succeed.

As a native Austinite, believe me when I say Eberly is of the elite restaurants in Austin. From the garden atrium dining room to the New York style upscale bar lounge, to the curated wine list and chef specials- this is a must of date nights, happy hours and overall dining experiences. Brandon was our server last night and every recommendation ehanced our culinary journey. The dry aged steak was skillfully paired with a beautiful French white from our server Brandon. (I know, normally a red goes with Steak, but it was such a knockout surpise we ended up getting a bottle for the table.) Get the potatoes for the table and thank me later!

The oysters were so fresh. How did they get them from the ocean to me within a minute? At least, thats what I was thinking. Drinks were amazing and so was the rest of my dinner. They do allergies well. Ambiance: Theres a cozy area and an area that looks like a conservatory. Kid friendly: We went there for a date so Im not sure but Ill bet theyre savvy enough to sit you somewhere that makes you comfortable and doesnt disturb others. Its sit down so kids need to be able to sit still long enough for the meal. Service: Excellent!

Stopped here with a group of six ladies out to dinner. It started lovely with a hostess and server who were personable. We got seated quickly with a reservation and got water immediately. We began with mixed strings and Wine Japanese buns and a cheeseboard. We ordered the half chicken, two pasta dishes, the halibut, the short rib, And the chickpea fritter. I had the halibut. They tried to get a crisp on the skin, but the halibut wasn t very warm, and the skin was chewy rather than crisp. It was a tiny portion for the price, which I expect at a nice restaurant, but if it s a small portion, I expect it to be cooked exceptionally well. The wine was lovely. The cheese plate wasn t great. It took at least 45 minutes for our food to come after we ordered. The food service was slow, though the staff checked on us regularly and was very attentive. I probably would not stop here again. It wasn t as good as I wanted for the price. Parking: They have an overflow lot with a few spots for the restaurant about two blocks down the road. It s on the side of an urgent care clinic.

We went here to eat on my daughter s bachelorette weekend. There were 12 of us. They were beyond wonderful. They had a special card printed for her, sent over a champagne toast for the group, and made us feel special. The appetizers we had were so great! The chickpea fritter and fried mushrooms were the best ! Everyone one loved their dinners. Everything was so flavorful and different. Some of the bests were the beet salad, halibut, eggplant, salmon, and crab cake! Like that wasn t enough, they then brought my daughter a complimentary dessert and then took us into the beautiful event room to take group photos of us. I wish we lived in Austin so we could go there often. I recommend this restaurant!!!

Honestly, had a mixed back when it came to our experience. We came in on our anniversary, and it took FOREVER for servers to greet us (I believe our waitress was training, so I give some slack on this). The entire dinner just seemed to really drag between getting drinks, getting appetizers, getting the check, etc. Would not recommend the broccolini. Ours was pretty bland and overcooked. I m also not a fan on Austin restaurants tacked on a hidden employee wellness charge. Come on, just include that in higher prices of food on the menu. The waitresses did sign a congrats on the anniversary card and brought us free dessert and champagne, which was highly appreciated! Thank you for remembering. To give this place it s credit, it is wonderfully decorated! There is lovely outdoor seating, an atrium, and the inside is darkly sit, it has a beautiful atmosphere! I also don t think valet is necessary here. When I do use it, I always make sure I have cash on hand. After the valet guy brought our car over, I didn t even have time to hand him his cash tip before he presumptiously said We take Venmo as tip payment as well . Really bro? I tipped, but whoever the valet guy that was working the night shift on the 26th of March needs some customer service lessons. I m willing to give this place another shot, as maybe the slow service and valet were just having bad days.

First impressions walking into the restaurant was that it was very nice. I saw they had a coat check rack, but they didn t check my coat, unsure why. They sat us in the tavern area which looks a bit more social than the regular dining area. It was just two of us but we were sat at a 6 seater. Not particularly a bad thing, but was just interesting for a date. Ordered the mussels as our app which was pretty good. We ordered our mains at the same time but it took a really long time to get our food. My boyfriend had to get up and ask where our food was. I got the short ribs. They weren t as soft and tender as i would have liked. I ve definitely had better short ribs elsewhere. It was also starting to go a bit cold when I finally got my food, not a fan of that. My boyfriend ordered the pasta. I didn t try his dish but they charged an extra $12 for essentially one grilled chicken tender, which i think is absolutely ridiculous. Our water was constantly refilled which was nice. Overall this restaurant was mid at best. I m glad I tried it but I don t think I will go back.

Pros: nice touch with the free valet parking, cool bar they brought from NY, really interesting dining spaces (we sat in the glass atrium). Food was tasty and our waiter was lovely. Good cocktails. Cons: acoustics make it pretty loud regardless of where you sit. the front desk person was oddly cold/not very welcoming (a bit of a too cool for school vibe). Ordered: short rib (not super fall off the bone like a braised, but it was still good), seafood pasta, pasta minus the sausage, salmon with crispy rice cake. And some vegetables (potatoes very good and butternut squash, which was okay) as sides. Good place for a group / special occasion as well for dinner. There were at least a couple of birthdays around us. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian in our group got one of the pastas without the sausage and said it was really flavorful (so didn t seem like an ingredient was missing).

I had a negative experience at Eberly. The valet and host stand were nice and professional, but the core of the restaurant, food and service were not worth the price I paid. At one point, while trying to refill my water, the server knocked the carafe into my cocktail glass, shattering it and making a mess all over the table and seating. He apologized profusely. I would expect him to rotate in a different server and provide some comp on the bill, but neither was done. I paid the full tab and we moved to the bar area for some cocktails. The bartender didnt offer to make us a drink, presumably because it was shutting down? But we were left to wonder whether we were being ignored. To top it off, I believe I caught the table server who broke the glass glaring at me, possibly because I didnt tip well, something Im perfectly justified in doing. I ordered the braised short ribs, and they were just okay. They tasted like a slow cooked beef stew, but nothing really to write home about. Ive ordered these in the past and it used to be much more flavorful. Overall it felt like a negative vibe, and for a $150 bill, thats just not acceptable. Eberly was one of my favorite restaurants in Austin until this experience, and I probably wont be back, as there are plenty of other upscale restaurants in Austin that can easily compete with this experience.

Eberly hosted a great NYE party. It felt like I went to a party in the 60s with everyone dressed up in costume and the Beatles cover band was spot on awesome. The bartender made me the perfect gimlet. Great time! I have been for dinner, brunch, drinks and lunch too. They have a burger in the bar area that I highly recommend. Wasnt impressed by the food. The shrimp was rubbery and chicken lacked flavor. Bloody Mary and rolls were good. Was surprised when I found a 3% health and wellness charge added to the bill. Asked the server. He explained it is the pay for the health insurance of the staff. What?!?! I had the charge removed. Im insulted by the deceitful practice of adding this charge without my consent. I cant believe they get away this deceptive business practice. Infuriating. I will never return.

I ve been to Eberly on many occasions and I was disappointed last night. The food was mostly terrible- the $39 short ribs reminded me of pot roast. I personally like pot roast but thats a $15 plate maybe. The caesar salad was so salty. The potatoes with aioli were average at best. Potatoes. How do you mess up potatoes? The mussels were good. We walked out feeling like we wasted our money.

We felt discriminated against and that the waiter was possibly racist. I ve never felt this way at a restaurant, so felt I needed to leave a review. Not only was he not attentive, but he also didn t bring birthday dessert. I made a reservation at Eberly and noted that it was for a birthday celebration, for my girlfriend. After being brought to our table, a waiter came by and poured water without greeting us, and then took about 15 minutes to come back and take our order. We saw a group (mostly Caucasian) sit down at a table next to us, and a Caucasian couple sit down at another table next to us. He greeted both groups and took their orders before he took our order, even though they sat down after us. Next, the food took a long time to come to our table, like maybe 30 mins, which would be ok, but usually waiters will stop by to check in and tell you the food is still coming. This waiter didn t stop by at all in that 30 minutes. While eating dinner, another employee stopped by and placed a birthday card on our table, that was signed by some of the employees. After dinner, we expected to receive a complimentary dessert for her birthday, but we did not receive it. The waiter simply came by and asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. He also looked directly at the table and saw the birthday card, but said nothing about a birthday dessert. I later called the restaurant to make a complaint to the manager, notifying them of the service from this waiter. They informed me that the restaurant usually does provide a complimentary birthday dessert, and so this was abnormal, which further leads me to believe that this waiter treated us differently because of the color of our skin.

Dietary restrictions: The first thing our server Christina asked was if either of us had any restrictions, so I feel confident they take this very seriously.

The atmosphere and staff were pleasant. I like that they have large couches in the lounge. However, the food was subpar. We started with the drinks which were bitter and strong, especially the espresso martinis. My friend ending up getting a headache from it. It was gross for $17. We were most excited about the rolls which were dry and crunchy, and ultimately flavorless. We decided not to do entrees based off of that. We ended with the crème brûlée which came out freezing cold. Not at all worth the hype or the price!

The carrot purée and crispy carrots that came with it were the perfect compliment. We weren t a big fan of the mushrooms that came with it. The half chicken was well seasoned and moist. We also got one of the zero proof drinks: blackberry mule. It wasn t bad. A good option for those that don t drink alcohol. And for dessert: we got the crème brûlée and sticky toffee pudding. Eberly Our dinner here was throughly enjoyable. Let s start with the atmosphere. The atmosphere was incredible - high end everything. Dim lit and very intimate. Restaurant was completely full by about 6:30pm and it was a Tuesday. The service was also very top tier. Came around a very good amount, was very timely, and prompt with suggestions. The food was impeccable. I went with a larger group and we were able to try so much on the menu. There were a few items I would not skip at all. The Crudo: ours was with kampachi and had several citrus pairings - truly incredible. The oysters were the highest quality I ve had in Austin - bravo to the chef for selecting these. The chickpea fritter was also 10/10, please keep this on the menu forever. The entrees were also just amazing. The pork chop was an American twist on a SE Asian comfort curry. Loveeeedd this. The beef short rib was melt in your mouth good - pair this with the crispy potatoes and you re golden. The lion s Maine mushroom was also just so packed with flavor and perfectly paired together. Our waitress told us to go with the sticky toffee pudding for dessert and this did not disappoint at all. The caramelized fig was to die for. Overall, Eberly wowed me and everyone in my group. I will be back again and I am very excited for that time to come! Cheers!

I had a nice dining experience at Eberly Restaurant in Austin, though it wasnt without a few small misses. The standouts were definitely the trendy decor and craft cocktails. As soon as I walked in, I was wowed by the chic interior design. The dining room features gorgeous tile floors, dramatic pendant lighting, and an elegant bar as the centerpiece. Its stylish while still feeling warm and inviting. The food overall was pretty good, though a little inconsistent. Service was attentive from the moment I arrived. My only complaint was that the dining room was eerily empty when I dined even with a reservation. More lively energy would enhance the experience.

The first thing you notice is the atmosphere is so pleasing and cool, you feel like you re part of the in crowd at Eberly. The service is absolutely exceptional as the staff are very attentive and friendly. (shout out to James!) The star of the show is the food. It may be pricey, but it is 100% worth every penny. Cannot emphasize my disappointment in this restaurant enough. I held my rehearsal dinner and cocktail hour at the Eberly rooftop on 9/22/2023. Unfortunately, I do not have a single good thing to say about Eberly due to their unprofessionalism, poor service, and flat out dishonesty. Breakdown of events; 1. When we toured the venue my first question was if they had a working elevator. They said that they had one that could be used to serve the rooftop, and we planned the event accordingly. My grandfather is currently wheel chair bound due to having health issues with his feet. Unfortunately, the day off, we received an email right before the event informing us the elevator wasn t working. They didn t even call. We addressed the importance of an elevator with them numerous times and it was even referenced in my contract. My grandfather is 6 3 , so my family members had to physically carry him up several flights of stairs. Outside of an inconvenience, this was a major hazard. 2. The HVAC was not working. The weather was in the mid 90 s and everyone was sweating profusely the entire night. It was a 5 hour event with 80 people attending the dinner the first half of the night and well over 120 people attending the cocktail hour. To say it was uncomfortable is an understatement. 3. We spent an obscene amount of money to have the event here and asked them to inform us once our deposited amount was exceeded as Eberly charges per drink. They never informed us of exceeding that amount and I asked before leaving the event, to which they confirmed we did not. I was just sent an email from them with an updated invoice reflecting another $2,200 we owe. I am currently on my honeymoon and writing this review due to my disappointment and the fact I am being blown up by them to pay an additional balance they are pulling out of thin air. The Eberly is not only one of the most poorly run restaurants I have ever been to, but they are flat out dishonest. They royally messed up one of the biggest nights of my life and I would not suggest hosting anything here unless you re prepared for disappointment and engaging in a lawsuit.

This was my second time and once again - the food, the ambiance, and the cocktails are all perfect. The kanpachi crudo- if you can eat raw fish, its a must, its incredible. The steamed green curry mussels and the salmon rillettes were also amazing. The homemade pasta is always a home run- this time I got the shrimp puttanesca and it was scrumptious. For dessert - get the Paris Brest if you like pastry and the chocolate baked Alaska if you like chocolate - theyre both perfection. Also - dont skip out on the Japanese rolls. The servers are not kidding, theyre not trying to upsell you bread, they are legitimately that good! Light fluffy little clouds- theyre perfect. For the cocktails - the espresso martini is great; if you like something herbal the Beyond the Pines is great but not for you if you dont care for rosemary. If you want something balanced and a little fruity- get the Persephone! Great birthday dinner! Parking: The restaurant, like a lot down town, has complementary valet- which is great cause their parking lot is small. Dont forget to tip the valet- they can take cash, debit and credit cards but as of right now not Venmo.

Husband and I went to Eberly yesterday evening for a birthday dinner, and my goodness it was fantastic. The complementary valet was great and right out front, and while we were about 20 minutes early for our reservation they were still able to seat us! We sat in the tavern side of the restaurant, which has a lovely, chill candle-lit atmosphere. We got the Beef Tartare and Japanese Milk Rolls for apps, both of which were delicious, though be warned the rolls are a little messy to eat! Also got the Persephone and thyme & Process, which were both quite tasty and surprisingly strong, Eberly does not under pour! For dinner, husband got the NY Strip with a side of crushed potatoes, while I got the Mushroom Mafaldine with shrimp. The Mafaldine was incredible, creamy and rich with perfectly cooked pasta and huge tender shrimp, and husbands steak was melt-in-your-mouth perfectly cooked. For desert we got the Paris-Brest and the Crème Brûlée (as well as a complementary toasting campaign and a shortcake slice with strawberry-mezcal ice cream and a little birthday candle as a cute and tasty surprise!). All of it was delicious, but the Brûlée was probably the best weve ever had, and the strawberry icecream was out of this world. Honestly, everything that we got was truly wonderful and we loved every bite! Our waiter, Tim C. was awesome as well, the perfect combination of funny, friendly and knowledgeable, while also being unobtrusive and attentive. I cant say enough good things about this place, we cant wait to go back!!

From the stunning looks of this place on the outside and inside you would think youre in for an amazing meal with amazing service. Not the case unfortunately. Service: Cant remember the last time I dined out and had a waiter who disappeared so much and for so long. We even had to flag someone else down to get our check. We were also never informed of their special for the evening while another table next to us with a different waiter did. Food: Very lackluster. Everything needed seasoning minus the rolls. We asked for a medium steak and it was way undercooked and more on the rare side. Sent it back and requested to cancel that entree and after we had already said no the kitchen still tried to sell us another plate. Kind of unprofessional. I will give them a star for the celebratory dessert, that was probably our favorite item the entire evening. I usually go into more detail but was put off very early on from this experience. Not a place Id recommend for dining in. They have nice spots at the bar for drinks but after this experience Im not interested in going back even for that. Pass.
