This is my most favorite place to go for sushi. The servers here are always very elegant and their voices are very soothing when they re taking your order. The atmosphere is dark and quiet so relaxing and they hand draw on the walls with chalk it s so cool. Don t even get me started on the food!! The sushi rolls are so fresh and amazing and CHEAP! I dream about this place! I still come here even though I moved 40 minutes away!

2022: I was excited to try this place, so we arrived for an early dinner. We started with a beer, sake, shrimp spring rolls, a side salad and rolls as apps. The spring roll order is only one, sliced in half, atop a martini glass. While tasty, we wished the portion would have been larger. The shrimp tempura roll was good with spicy mayo and wasabi, while the california roll was just bland and boring. As entrees, we ordered a katchu chicken and burrito roll. The katchu chicken was a flavorless fried chicken. While it was crispy it had no flavor at all. The fried rice it came with was pretty good though. The benti burrito was a gummy mess and did not taste good, so she decided to send it back after a single bite. As soon as we told the server, her first response is, we dont do returns... Not an empathetic responce, not can I get you something else... nope. We both found her comment very tacky and rude. At this point, we realize she never brought out the side salads either. So when she comes around, I ask her whether theyll also be charging us for the salads she never brought out. She then tells us they had removed the items from the bill but chose to do in a rude and loud way. Once she sets down the bill, she sarcasticly says Yall have a GREAT day! Remember, if youre in the service industry, which I was, you service. The quality of said service affects your tip.

Love the place and the food looks beautiful, tastes good, and the service was faster than what they said it would take, HOWEVER, I just paid nearly $20 for a Sexy Ryan roll and the portion size in no way is what I would have thought was fair for the amount I paid. Lovely place, but Ill be looking for places that give me a bit more food for what I paid for.

Food is decent, we tried everything from the sushi to ramen. I wished the person who waited on us could have been more friendly and willing to answer questions about menu, it was our first time eating here and we asked for a recommendation but just received a blank stare and were informed that she doesnt eat there. Even if thats the case, it would be better service to maybe suggest a popular item or special. We might or might not be back, that wasnt the worst service Ive experienced but can be a turn off for future reference.

Host/waitress was very polite, knowledgeable and courteous throughout the experience. The food was awesome..had little bit of a bunch: Volcano roll (literally on fire) with hint of spice. The salmon tower with rice chips ...yummy eel roll ...sweet and tasty. Hawaiian spring was the best ...ask for their special mixture of sauce similar to sweet n spicy with ponzu. Prices are reasonable when self splurging after working hard all week...oh and not to mention the Dragon Ball Z walll art, super rad! no regrets will return regularly!!

Great atmosphere however the food was so mid. Ordered a soft shell hand roll, there was no description of the hand roll and it came with caviar, didn t know that until the hand rolled arrived and asked for it to be remade without the caviar and the chef said you won t taste it as if that s the point. Also the sushi rolls it s self were very tiny, for the size it was you d think it was $5. The best thing about going there was the shrimp yakisoba noodles. Also the happy hour has a 20% gratuity so what s the point of a happy hour.

If there was a zero for food, that will be my rating. Just had lunch there today to celebrate my mother s birthday. We ordered the Pork Katsu and Yakisoba. The food came out cold when it s supposedly deep fried and the noodles stir-fried. The worst part is the Katsu. You can barely see the meat and all you could taste was the breadcrumbs!!! Very very disappointing to say the least. The bento box included a pc of Tempura shrimp and same thing, the shrimp was MIA (missing in action)! My mother barely touched her Yakisoba. She said it didn t taste fresh.

I came here after seeing it in a foodies group, it s a very low to mid place in terms of sushi, but I want to start with the atmosphere. The music is LOUD and it s awful club music. The menu needs some work, it looks like someone put it together in the back on Microsoft word making it difficult to read, to top it off the place is dark. The food options are put together with 10 year olds in mind with at least half the rolls fried. After finishing my disappointing rolls I decided to try their sushi burrito, canceled the order after waiting 30 min and realizing the waitress never put the order in Kid-friendliness: Dragon ball z themed, rolls designed with a child s palette in mind

I ordered combination fried rice to go.The price for a container was $14.86. I use to love to go here for pho soup and combination fried rice 3 yrs ago.Apparently new owners. The rice was shrimp with tails on it,boil tiny chicken pieces of a breast, pork sausage ( not beef)I have never had combination rice with pork sausage. No prices on the menu. The menu is poorly organized and looks like it was written on a google docs the night before. They rip you off by excluding the prices on the menu. The service was bad as well. They told us they were limited on avocado. What kind of sushi place opens without avocado.?? It was also wayyyy too dark. People turned on their flash from their phones to try and read the poorly written menus. Their sushi was horrid. The snow white roll tasted like oily hair follicles. Way too dark, felt like I was in the club. Red flag: no pricing on the menus at all 1. The sushi was actually really good. Online, it said $5ish for a classic roll, in reality it was 8.50. 2. No entree should cost $20 when the food portions are as small as this one. 3. Gratuity of 22% was added on top of my bill and it says it wouldn t be added unless it was a party of 6 or more, we were a party of 5. I would avoid, way better to be in a place that s transparent about prices. I was super ripped off today.

I love this place! The food and service is 5 stars. But this was the second time i came for dinner at 8pm bc their hours say they re open tell 10pm so we thought we had time to eat dinner. We get their at 8pm and at 8:25pm they said last call for kitchen. They literally cleaned up in 5 minutes, turned off music and we were rushing to eat in dead silence. We left at 9pm. If we knew this was gonna happen we would have taken our business somewhere else where we can talk and eat. NOT RUSH and feel awkward! 2021: Hands down, one of the best sushi joints in the area! My wife loves the Naked Sushi roll (rice paper and veggies instead of rice and seaweed wrap) and I enjoy just about every spicy, tricked-up roll they come up with. Great vibe, great music, friendly staff. In pre-COVID days, my wife and I would sit at the bar and talk with the chefs about the fish and preparation techniques. It can get a little too dark in there (low lights), but I love the hip hop-inspired design and aesthetic! Everyone should check this place out! 2023: Something has gone wrong here. What used to be a fun, customer friendly sushi joint has turn rude, elitist, and hard to support. For months now, they don t take anything but cash. (Which is challenging because most people don t carry a $100 in cash with them anymore and $100 is what you re gonna need now that they ve raised prices on everything.) To order takeout, you have to go through GrubHub or DoorDash or place your order in person - no phone orders! Takeout menu is limited (more hoops for customers to jump through) and the staff often can t be bothered to actually take the order. I ve never seen a business set so many roadblocks in their customers way! I recognize restaurants struggled in the months that followed COVID, but these issues are tied to poor management and poor decision making. Everyone must adjust or fold. I had a good lunch. The dishes I was served had too much. The geisha roll had a big jumble of white strings (idk what they were) that I just put aside cause it was on top of the sushi. The fire cracker roll was also overwhelmed with tempura bits and sauce that was just too much for a simple plate. The food was good I just wanted to recommend plating the amount of sushi better. The place was also really dark, a bit more of ambient lighting would give great vibes.

Don t expect them to be accommodating. We waited 30mins to put in an order that never got put in. The sushi chef acted like this was a Michelin star restaurant. I have a gluten allergy and every time i requested a roll w/o the special sauce or something he wouldn t do it. He then proceed to come over to the table and said he didn t have time to exclude items from a roll .. but yet you have time to come talk to us with attitude?? *looked around confused as there is only two other tables on a weekday* Was completely dismissive. Long story short, if you have a gluten allergy don t go here. Or if you want something excluded from your roll, don t even bother. There is a hand roll sushi bar in Fort Worth that has better quality and better service, go there.

Don t come to this restaurant if you re in a rush or a time pinch. Don t get me wrong. The staff members are lovely however service here does take awhile. This restaurant is obviously understaffed and over working their employees. The employees have always been pleasant however it has always taken a long while to dine with them. Me and my bf sat down and waited about 20 minutes before a waitress was available to even take our drink order. Which is totally understandable and the waitress was so professional and polite but please don t dine if you re not prepared to wait an hour for your food. The food is delicious! I don t regret ever coming here I just advice that you be patient if you choose to dine with this establishment for now

My daughter and I checked the time of close before heading to restaurant. They were supposed to be open until 9pm. We drove across town to be greeted at 7:13pm by the hostess/waitress to inform us that they were closing early at 8 and if we wanted to eat, they were only excepting cash. She was not apologetic at all, actually seemed to enjoy giving this news and turning away customers. I was so frustrated with her matter of fact attitude. It is very poor customer service to run a business this way. I am being generous giving 3 stars because I did eat here before and thought the food was good. That is why I brought my daughter to give it a try. However, I do not plan to return.

Good sushi (although it has gone wayyyy down in quality, and I ve been coming here for over a decade) and atmosphere, but terrible, terrible service. Sushi Domo lost not just one, but 4 loyal customers on a day when we walked in to an understaffed and busy evening. The manager/chef/owner gave us attitude when letting us know, and i simply calmly responded that he should try to adjust his tone when speaking with customers (i wasn t even being mean y all!) to which he responded that I m no longer welcome at the establishment; say less! Other than that, sometimes their servers favor tables that might have friends at them and therefore service can be unsatisfactory and slow

The food is good but they have not been accepting card for months now, they don t have a sign anywhere stating it and nothing has been done about it also the hours say they close at 10 but the last two times I ve went they state they close at 8 so we always call ahead to make sure what time they are closing but the way they run the store has gone down hill.

My wife and I drove 20+min to try this place out on a date night. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO HERE!! The sushi chef/ owner (John) was completely rude and self righteous. We ordered two coors lights and a bottle of Sake along with one roll at the sushi bar. I told the waitress that they might want to check their beer because it was bad and skunky ( I was not complaining nor did I ask for a new one or any other compensation). The chef over heard and asked her to get him one, after about 10 minutes he tried it. By this time we were on our second bottle of Sake and still had our first set of beers. We decided to order another roll even though the sushi was sub-par, which we paid for and never ate. I asked him his thoughts and he pursued to tell me he does not offer his opinions because people today get their feelings hurt. We laught and said you will not hurting our feelings we have think skin. He then said something rude to my wife but she fired back and corrected him thus putting him in his place before I could. This guy has no business owning or running a restaurant with his rude customer service techniques. I spent 20 plus years in the food and beverage industry doing everything from dishes to management of high-end and 5 star restaurants and resorts. After spending more than $100 + dropping a $20 cash tip to the waitress because she was great, that will be the last dollar they ever see from is. We generally drop $200 plus every time we go out to sushi 2-3 a month. He lost more then the money, he lost loyal customers that eat sushi regularly. My advice is Do Not Go Here!! Drive 20 or 30 minutes to a better establishment that deserves you hard earned money. If you do go here I recommend sitting at a table to avoid his hostile demeanor.

The place smells like Lysol right when you walk in. And normally we leave when thats all you can smell, but we gave it a shot. I should have read the reviews first because we had the same experience with rude service. The sushi chef, I think his name is Ryan is a really disgruntled employee. For whatever reason he decided to talk to us, even though we had a waitress and he was extremely rude. Then he handed us our order and the sushi was terrible. $15 for a roll and it was just a California roll with sub par white fish chopped in the smallest pieces ever on top. We were so turned off by the chef and the overpriced sushi we didnt bother ordering anything else. The only reason this place is busy is because its the only sushi spot for miles. Personally, Ill take the extra drive and pay $8 for a legitimate roll with real pieces of fish on it with good service. Not sure how places like this stay open.

Very bad customer service. I ordered a very veggie without pretty much any veggie. When I mentioned to the waitress, she just make excuses that it was the chef choice and they didn t have that many veggies to out on it. They were out of asparagus and said instead they put a lot of cucumbers. Very disappointed, they didn t even apologize. FYI the avocado roll price is not accurate, it increased to $11, and you get more rice than avocados on it.
