We had Sarah as our photographer. She was super incompetent. Told her several times my neice was not a boy and she needed to correct it on our edits and she still did not. She did not know how to take pictures of any of the kids and needed constant help and supervision from another photographer. Complete waste of time for the price. Will not ever use JC Penney again for pictures because I have called several times to get the issue fixed and no response even after leaving messages.

Horrible place!!! we visited about a month ago for a family picture and 1st year birthday picture, we received the babys pictures, but we are yet to receive the family pictures. We paid for both in full. I called to let them know we have not received our pictures, the person who answered the phone said that they have sent it and i should receive it in a few days, well its been a whole month and we are yet to receive our family pictures. I have been trying to call. It always goes to voicemail.

Had a great experience here taking family Christmas photos! Our photographer Brie was friendly and professional. I had some ideas for poses and she was really great at helping us get into position. Some of my favorite pictures were the poses she came up with for us. The studio is on the second floor near the outside entrance. Be sure to get there early to check in. Check their website and Groupon for discounts! We paid $140 total for the session/digital album.

I decided to take my first modeling headshot photos here and it was nothing short of a GREAT experience! I haven t been signed with any modeling agencies just yet. I ll update if this changes. but for now I want to share my experience with the JCP Portrait studio. And let me just say these headshots anywhere else would probably cost me a small fortune so thank you JCP for being reasonable and still exceptionally quality driven. So on the day of my very first photo shoot ever, I started off nervous but quickly felt I was in good hands here and comfortable. Eric helped me from start to finish. He was so professional and kind. I didn t feel rushed or pushed to buy anything. I got exactly what I wanted and would definitely come here again!

I am yet to receive all my pictures I took on 5/18/23 at the JCPENNY portrait on Cooper in Arlington. I have used them before without problems. Now, after making a big order I only got 1 picture and my 2 canvas. Where is the rest? Been calling for 2 weeks. I m going to come in person but, this is unacceptable!

My family and I took photos at Cedar Hill JcPenny Life Touch on 12/26/22. The photos were shipped on 12/28/22. As of 2/15/23 the photos has not been received. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful with speaking to someone via the live chat. The Arlington location was unsuccessful with helping me.

Our appointment was on super bowl Sunday.. didnt know because I dont watch football. Spent a hour and a half fighting with 7 kids for this pic to be told by the other guy... Not even the nice lady that was actually taking our pictures... That we had to leave. Couldnt look at pics or pick the ones I wanted.. it was only 5 45 and he stated that they were closed and I would have to come back another day.. a total waste of my time and money and now I would have to make a trip back just to pick what pictures I want and another trip to actually pick them up. I do not live in the area and would have to drive 30 mins to get there.. it was very unprofessional and I will never go back and wouldnt recommend to anyone

I had a Photoshop session today they said I couldn t bring my pet because they don t allowed pets but they were 2 different families there both with their pets . This is ridiculous very disappointment about it. They let others to take pictures with their pets except us .

I been coming to JcPenny portraits for a few years now and by far this is most horrible experience I had! My pictures were poorly taken, not even center and I had to give her ideas on things to do and she will just kinda do it but not even try, not sure if she is new there but she choose pictures were my sons eyes were close, she chose pictures where my daughters face was blurry. I m not sure if I be able to pass this bad experience. My holiday pictures are pretty much ruined.

A pleasant experience!!! Eric displayed patience with our 3 month old grandbaby. He went above and beyond to ensure we got excellent shots. I didnt know what to expect going in but Eric exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Eric! We will definitely return.

My photos were not taken here, but Ashley did assist me with getting them. She followed up with me several days after to ensure that my issues were resolved. She was more helpful than the store manager, who also over sees the location I did got to, who has yet to attempt to assist.

I had an appointment at 7:00 pm, then the studio called stated to come in at 6:00 pm. I asked are you sure because I have a puppy, she stated no problem you can come at 6:00 pm. Upon arrival 5 minutes before my scheduled time at 6:00 pm, no one was prepared. We waited another 25 minutes before the photo shoot started. There was no waiting area, the mall was extremely busy due to the holiday season. I have a puppy he is extremely vocal around so many people so he barked the entire time. So after standing in the hallway of the open mall for 25 minutes, we go back. Everything went well, except the photographer never stated my hair was sticking up in all the photos. Im like why wouldnt you say something, I basically had one good photo. So while we are going through the photos again in the busy area of the mall, my puppy begins to bark. It is now about 7:00 pm at night, hundreds of people in a dark parking lot. One of the ladies working at this studio approached me and asked if one if my children 12 and 9 could take the dog outside to the car and I stay inside. Like why would I allow my children to walk in the dark parking lot by themselves. You should have a private area for customers to review their personal photographs. Not every pet is the same so are vocal some are not. I was offended by her statement, because a baby was screaming the entire time we were there. The whole experience was horrible, I will never go to this studio again.

So we went for a second time and it was a nice experience except for the double bookings and time spent at this location. Our photographer was a young woman who had a black hoodie on, she was really sweet and patient. We had newborn pics, toddler pics and family pics so it was extremely hectic. Overall, the experience was great but it did push our patience a bit.

This is a fantastic place! We had our family portrait done last week and it was a great experience. The young African American lady(didn t get her name) was so patient with our family. She set up the studio with different sceneries, getting us ready, answering questions, taking pictures great multi-tasks. Hope to see her again next visit.

I went Saturday for my daughter graduation pictures my appointment was 12:30 but I suppose to be at 12:15 I was late for 7 minutes because traffic and lady told me I have rechule because I was late I was so furious because I waiste my money for make up for my daughter and they dont care.Lady was rude and no professional.please Jcpenney you need hire a professional people .

I made an appointment for Christmas pictures and we had our dog. I had an appointment confirmation phone call the day before and the lady confirmed the details but never confirmed I had a pet, therefore we showed up to the session with our dog. I m not sure if the lady that greeted us was the same one that called me but she is a black lady with glasses that greeted us. As soon as we arrived she said I never confirmed that I wasn t bringing the pet. She was extremely rude and I m a way, berated me for bringing a dog. I didn t catch her name but she was rude, condescending and abrasive. I do not recommend this place because of that employee specifically and it sounds like it is the same person and problem from previous reviews.

We had a five star experience with our photographer last week. Monique did an incredible job working with my children and interacting with them. As far as JCP goes, it s a small gamble going there for pictures, but usually worth it for my family. I am a little disappointed that they ve had the same Christmas backdrop two years in a row now.

I was at jc Penney portrait today and its was a mess the black lady was so rude and this is not the first time i go in to get my sons birthday pictures taken infact i have been there every year since he was born...i usually pick the pictures i want printed out and then i get all of the pictures in my email and i was trying to tell them thats how it works but they were rude saying i must pay for an album to be able to get my sons pictures in my email..well i wont be coming back ...your staff at jcpenny portrait at parks mall Arlington are rude especially the black girl....

In this location they dont have a professional photographers..and I got my pictures with bad resolution..and I paid for a high resolution..and when I told them they said the pictures are fine..and I cant print them because the pictures are not clear.. so dont go there this second experience there and it will be the last time..

LaTanya started yelling at me in the middle of the store after I told her she did not explain the pricing structure well. She is completely unhinged. I made a complaint to corporate. As compensation, they gave me my photos enhanced for free.. but I had to go back to the studio to order. With LaTanya. And therefore be verbally abused again. She still works there too.

Shelly treated us and all the others customers in the lobby & on the phone with such courtesy. She was very professional and patient during the photo session. My teenage son is not big on taking photos but she made him feel very comfortable and his graduation pics came out great. Shelly represented JCP very well.

There were 2 ladies working 4/14/19 and one of them (Laqesha or Laquanda) her name was something like that... she was rude, condescending and Unprofessional and JC Penny would do themselves a favor by getting rid of her. She doesnt know how to treat customers or how to talk to them and she s a poor representation For your company. If she doesn t like her job, maybe she should Find another one. Not mistreat customers! Had a 2nd appointment 4/18/19 and she refused to let us complete the session for being 10 mins late. However the appointment Time is 1 hr. Why not simply take less poses and still finish at the scheduled time. Guess that was too reasonable for the dumb employee to accommodate. Ended up leaving Arlington JC Penney and going to North East Mall JC Penney immediately after the 2nd horrible experience in Arlington and the NE Mall location was great. Completed the photos, the employee there was awesome.

Had a wonderful experience at this location. Had a sitting of 6 including a child. Location did a great job getting everyone posed quickly and effectively. The photographer knew exactly what to do and it showed. The end result was some awesome pictures that we as a whole family look forward to seeing.

I ve been going to this location for exactly one year. My daughter has had multiple sessions and I ve never had an issue with disrespectful staff members until today. The staff has never been the friendliest, but it s never bothered me until I encountered Tan. Tan was rude and obnoxious. We had an extreme accident in the mall while heading to our appt, so We ran as fast as possible to the portrait area. We arrived 5 mins late, and Tan very rudely says she could not take us because we were late and unprepared. While on the phone telling my mom that they would not take us, Tan was in the background laughing obnoxiously loud and yelling, tell her the full story, tell her the reason why. She laughed for so long and so loudly that I couldn t hear my mom on the other line. When my mom arrived to diffuse the situation and explain the reason for our actions, Tan kept throwing her hands up in my face telling me to stop talking to her. While coming up with alternate solutions to take try and get these photos done, she lied and said there last appointment was at 5pm. However while we were leaving, a family walked up at 5:25, stating that they had a 5:15 appointment. DO NOT COME HERE. There are many reviews about terrible customer service and now I see why. While this was going on, none of her peers even bothered to take over since clearly she can t handle her attitude. Tan was Very loud, rude and ghetto. Not sure how she s even employed.

Tan is excellent with kids and has been taking pictures of our family for several years. We get the first available appointment in the morning since we have little kids and a large family so we do not have to worry about waiting. She is excellent and I have never been disappointed with her pictures.

We had put session booked for Saturday 4/28/18. The staff was very rude and downright disrespectful. We received very bad treatment and ended up cancelling our session even though we had set this day aside to have out pictures done as a family. I am very disappointed in JC Penney portrait studio.i really expected them to do better. Im never going back to this place again.

Customer service was very poor.The ladies at the front desk are very rude and disrespectful.we had an appointment at 3:45.we arrived on time but my baby had a diaper accident and had to be changed. They said that we were late and that they had to let other people go ahead of us. We waited till 4:30 and still hadnt been seen. Whenever we asked the lady at the desk, she just rudely stated that we will be seen when a room becomes available. Finally we just got tired of waiting and left. I would not recommend this place. I love jc penney but this has ruined it for me.

We took our 11+month twins in for family photos on a Sunday. Even though the babies have stranger anxiety, our photographer Jac managed to get some adorable smiling pics of the boys towards the end of the shoot. Overall a great experience, will definitely come back.
