The best African cuisine Ive ever had! The Jollof rice and Suya were incredibly flavorful. Service was top-notch, attentive, and knowledgeable. 5 stars isnt enough - Id give 10 if I could! The goat pepper soup and plantains were perfection. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Five stars, for sure! 1. Best Suya outside of Nigeria! 2. The Jollof rice is a must-try! 3. Egusi soup is just like moms cooking!

I explained to the beautiful and friendly lady who took my order on 09/21/2024 that I was ordering for my CHILDREN and I. Children who doesn t take spice. I asked, Will it be spicy? It is for my children, as well. She replied, No it is not spicy. My order was: Seafood okra soup (2), Ogbonno soup and Jellof rice with chicken. $110 Soup was WAAAAAAAAAAY TOO SPICY even for me. My son threw up!! Due to the spice. Before I tried it I encouraged him to eat it a bit fast to not allow the spice to heat him up then drink water after a few bites. He tried but, threw up. I then tried the okra soup with Fufu and it is BURNING ME UP!!! He tried the jellof rice and plantains all we taste is that they have BURNED IT! WHY???? The worst money I have ever spent on Nigerian food. My usual places are Kemi s and Aggies.

I ordered a plate of Jollof rice and beef to go. I drove all the way from Mansfield. On getting home, I was so disappointed. The Jollof rice I was served had 20% burnt grains of the rice. I understand having to make Jollof Smokey requires burning some part of the rice underneath, but I do not appreciate the fact I was served some part of the burnt rice. The rice also lacked seasoning, the beef also didn t taste like it was seasoned well enough. I have eaten here before and this wasn t my experience the first time which is why I came back again.

We eat African , Caribbean, Nigerian food quite often. We ordered Jollof rice with fish. It taste and smell like CIGARETTE SMOKE. I love Moi Moi and was excited to eat it but their Moi-Moi was pre-packaged and warmed up in plastic pouches, it had some type of small shell crunch, it tasted TERRIBLE. We could not chew the goat meat, it was dry and tough. One taste of every thing and it all had to be thrown away. It was a waste of money and time.

Service was excellent, and food was surprisingly nice. I had Amala with gbegiri and ewedu. It was delicious. I also ordered the Ewa agoyin plate, jollof rice place and oat-fufu and ogbono to go. I tasted the jollof rice. The smell and flavor of party jollof was on point, but the rice itself was not cooked through. I also tried some of my Ewa Agoyin. The beans itself was nice, but their agoyin sauce did not come through at all, and so that agoyin flavor was missing! The sauce makes the meal. It seems to be missing an important ingredient, more palmoil and that deep frying of the pepper. The fried plantain was not soft. It was chewy and rubbery. Overall, compared to many other Nigerian restaurants that I have tried, I will give them an 8 out of 10, which means I would go back for some meals and definitely the service!!

We were visiting from Tennesee and bought food 3 days in a row from here. Outside of the small amount of meat/stew from one of the dishes we bought and no suya one day, everything was good. Atmosphere and service were good as well. We didnt have to wait long on either trip. Thanks for being one of the only reliable Nigerian restaurants in the area!!

This is my first time trying African food. I always passed this place and thought to give it a try. I was looking for a menu online but couldn t find one so figured that I needed to come by to find it myself. I asked for a couple orders but they didn t have any left (I can t buy at 9pm). I ended up ordering the Jollof Rice and Ewa Aganyin to go and didn t know what to expect. I I did wait awhile but read good reviews online so I had some faith that whatever I order would taste good. There s no specific person acting as your waiter or waitress, it seems like a big family working here where everyone s job is mixed. When I finally got my order, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they give you a pretty large portion. The plastic to go container was heavy and high quality, it even says that it s microwave safe. They offered silverware with my order and even the plastic silverware was somewhat heavy duty. Our order came with a container of siracha as well. Jollof rice tastes like Mexican rice But tastes great regardless. The chicken was juicy and slightly crispy and blackened on the outside as if it was grilled. 10/10. Plantains were delicious. I ve had plantains at other places but this place cooked their plantains really well: it was slightly blackened, crispy on the edges, and full of sweet and savory flavor. The ewa aganyin tastes really good probably the best bean stew I ve had in my life. The fried fish that comes with it is fried fish, not soggy, cooked well, I didn t find bones all over the meat, it was easy to separate the meat from the bones.
