It was late when we decided to finally eat dinner. Chris and I drove over to Joe Taco. The food was delicious and our waitress Kimi was awesome. Chris ordered a Chicken Burrito.... Holy Molé that thing was GIGANTIC!!!! My PAPA JOES STEAK FAJITAS came out sizzling. The meat was so tasty and tender and the onions were sautéed to perfection. My Bloody Mary was nice and spicy too. Chris also ordered the Calienté sauce to smother his burrito and let me tell ya, I like spicy but that sauce was FIRE, FIRE, FIRE

Joe Taco catered our wedding and did a fantastic job. They brought plenty of food as well as all the serving materials. They set up, cleaned up and served which made things so much easier for my wedding! The food was fantastic too! I have heard nothing but compliments from my wedding guests about the food Joe Taco served. The staff was very professional and overall a great experience.

Walked in to get dinner late evening. Stood for awhile before even being recognized. Asked for a menu for a to- go order and asked whats most popular since never being there. Girl was brief and could tell she was in a hurry. Another girl at a table on her phone rolling up silverware in napkins just turned around and looked at us. After making a order. We decided to change our minds. The staff was non inviting, establishment needed picked up. Just didnt feel right. Cancelled our order and will not be back. First impressions are important and you only get ONE!! This was the Wallace location.

MANAGER PUT HANDS ON MY FRIEND!! Took 2 bites of our food and realized it was severely overcooked and tasted like it had been sitting for a WHILE and was just reheated to be served. Told the waitress our food wasnt fresh. She didnt offer any kind of solution to remedy the problem (remake, get something else, or discount) she didnt even apologize for how inedible it was. If you want over cooked, soggy food smothered in aged cheese then this is your spot. The manager, Shainna (or at least thats what she said her name is), only escalated the situation rather than deescalating when she put her hands on my friend by grabbing her shirt and then LAUGHED when my friend asked her not to touch her. Why did she grab her shirt? To try and FORCE my friend to stay and listen to her (very poor and irrelevant) excuse for not offering us any kind of compensation. We were both done and ready to leave, just wanted to get a receipt. Shainna refused to allow us inside (for some reason? Even though SHE put hands on my friend) and made us stand out in the rain while she took far too long to retrieve the receipt for us before finally allowing us to leave the restaurant. She kept trying to justify her refusal to offer compensation even as we walked to our car. The customer doesnt matter at Joe Taco, you are expected to pay for food you wouldnt even feed to your dog and be extremely disrespected by management for bringing inadequacies to their attention. Overall HORRIBLE experience, the margarita was good though.

Have been coming for years, food was not fresh, waiter insisted on arguing with me. Wont be back, place has gone down hill. Theyre happy not to have your business. Deplorable management. Had me stand in the rain and paid for the poor quality food. Even touched me. Been talking this place up for so many months. Something needs to be done. Got to Amarillo after having failed to find food places that were open for the last 180 miles or so and was starving by the time I found Joe Taco. The food was delicious, and make sure you ask your server what meat they recommend, as apparently some of the best stuff doesnt appear on the menu. Also ask for hotter sauce if you need more spice! Just pass on the queso, or dump your salsa in it to give it some more flavor.

Food had no flavor, extremely bland. The bartender was our waiter which she seemed more concerned about what was happening at the bar vs taking our order and explaining the menu. She even aggressively grabbed our chips and salsa mid-bite to refill it without telling or asking us what she was doing. Margarita was very sweet with little alcohol. Referred by our hotel clerk at Baymont Wyndham (East I40) as her favorite place to eat. Always willing to try new Mexican restaurants, we lucked out, and was wildly surprised at how good the food was. We are Colorado, Green Chili lovers, with an infinity for good, homemade, Mexican food. It was easy to get to, a friendly hostess/waitress greeted us and after seating us showed she also knew the menu, and overtime, had tried everything on it. She was attentive, personable and able to help negotiate getting us exactly what we wanted, even though it was not exactly on the menu. We were brought the regular chips & salsa. The chips were on the + side, but the salsa wasnt, just pureed tomatoes plus? However, the food came out quickly and was hot, fresh & yummy. The kicker is how inexpensive it was overall. Kudos, to Joe Tacos management on having Welcoming staff people who know how to make your business great, give excellent service to their customers, and a kitchen staff that knows what they are doing with their creations. The interior was clean, but plain, not very inviting at all, and the atmosphere inside was quiet, the only thing that lightened it up was our waitress and its lively lit star lights. But, for us, just traveling through & staying over only the one night, it was no big deal, especially considering they hit it out of the park on the top 3 priorities of 1) good food, 2) good service and 3) good price. Although the atmosphere was blah, it was clean which is a high priority as well. Only one real negative, the silverware was the cheapest Ive ever seen and because of the poor quality very uncomfortable to use. Maybe going cheap on the utensils and interior design is how they keep their costs low and yet prepare good quality dishes.

My 78 yr okld mother loves mexican food but she didnt like her food either. She had the beef enchilada plate and she diidnt like the enchiladas at all . The salsa was more like tomato puree. Joe Taco is an established Tex-Mex spot in the hospital district. Ive been a few times over the years, just recently with colleagues. Not a lot on the menu really stood out, but I settled on a combo smothered fajitas. Flavor wise the food was good. For the price I was a little disappointed in the portion. After tax in before tip it was more than $18 for the dish. If my colleagues wanted to come back I might try something else, but this would not be my first choice for Tex-Mex food. Parking: The parking lot at the location is pretty small, so be prepared to park on the street across from the restaurant.

Excellent food, flavor, service, atmosphere, and portions. They got us lots of chips and salsa. The salsa wasnt spicy, they kept bringing the chips and salsa and it was a lot of salsa too. The food itself tasted good and was fairly priced. The service is above and beyond. Great tacos and a dog friendly patio! The Baja Fish Tacos didnt disappoint topped fresh picó and served with mango salsa and chipotle Ranch. Their chips are thin, crisp, and lightly seasoned, which I love. We will be back!

I always enjoy Joe Taco s, the food is definitely delicious, service is usually pleasant and prompt, my only criticism is the parking, unfortunately unless they strive to be less popular or move there s not much they can do about that.
