I ordered brunch for a work event that I was hosting and chose this place because of the great reviews. Well, those reviews didnt disappoint. Sundays Kitchen catered brunch for 25 people and I got compliments from EVERYONE about the food. Not to mention, Tina (who answers their emails), was so sweet and helpful. Everyone left happy and full and we still had food leftover! Their portion sizes are huge (which is not a bad thing). I cant wait to eat here again!

First visit to Sunday s Kitchen. Food was delicious. I had fried fish and the fish was light, tasty and fried perfectly. The Mac and Cheese had a flavor bomb in it! Yummy! Okra was cooked like my Mothers. Friends had shrimp dishes and they loved their dishes as well. See one pic enclosed I ordered us the Beignets with the berry compote and the chocolate dip. Oh so good! Their menu show brunch on Saturdays. I will definitely be back. Don t miss this restaurant!

Great family-owned soul food restaurant. Parking: Street-side parking, keep that in mind if youre driving a truck. Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly, kid opinions in the menu. Wheelchair accessibility: All places have to be wheelchair accessible by law, so that should answer this question.

Food was decent. I ve tried several things and they always have a nice flavor but service is always really bad. Also they have inconsistent business hours, so pay attention to social media. Also the lady at the front is by far one of the rudest people to take orders. Acts like you re on her time. Then to make matters worse I found out she is related to the owner somehow. This is their lively hood and this is how you treat paying customers. Either y all have too many customers or y all need perspective.

Ive had Sundays Kitchen three times, and each was to-go or delivery. Ive only ordered the Pit Master Mac & Cheese. Its delicious! There is enough food to feed 4-5 people or meal prep for a couple of days. It has smoked brisket, roasted pork, grilled hotlinks, sausage, and bacon. Its also served with a couple of onion rings and a slice of garlic bread. Delicious! I put a hefty portion in a bowl (pictured) and had all of that leftover. (See the picture without foil.)

WOW! A find!! Strolling around on a literal snow day - no clients coming in due to the weather. Found this kitchen while killin time. Quickly realized this place was different. Anyway, I got the kolache on a waffle. Sounds basic right? The waffle was unbelievable (hot, moist and therefore easily wrapped) and the sausage was fantastic! Im guessing the sausage was some very high quality cajun inspired mixed. Anyway, I cannot think of a better kolache ever and its not close! Im gonna go there every time I am in town and that is sadly not enough.

We were so lucky to find this place. Driving home to California from Central Texas, searching for somewhere to eat in Amarillo, and we were loving it from the first taste of Shrimp Gumbo (which was so good my wife bought a bowl, to go). We ordered the Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese with fries, and added a side of Mac and Cheese. Our friends ordered the Shrimp Gumbo, and the Shrimp Étouffée. The Gumbo was delicious from bite one that was shared with everyone, seasoned perfectly and full of flavor. That first taste only created an excitement for our food to be brought to the table. The Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese is not a traditional Grilled Cheese, it was on a soft roll (Im not sure what kind), but my first bite was so good, the pork is so tender, I just wanted more of everything. The fries were perfect (with and without ketchup), well seasoned and crispy. The Shrimp Étouffée (yes I Googled the spelling), was given to our slowest eater, and it was so good he was the first to finish his meal, he said he loved every bite, and thought the one piece of shrimp she got to try was amazing. We didnt get to speak to Chef Ron, but we did get to talk to his wife Tina, who was working the front, she was so nice, and her staff were very cute, and so helpful. If we lived in Amarillo we would be eating there all the time. Well done Chef Ron (and family), we will definitely make sure to stop by next time we are in town.

This was a very good find. Everything was on point with the flavors. Healthy portions. I ate the shrimp and chicken gumbo. It was absolutely delicious. The girls had the pasta and they loved it. My friend had the Pitmsater. Smoked meats and Cajun cuisine, one usually pays the price. Not in this case. This place is a hidden gem. Worth the trip again and again. Thank you Tina, (our waitress) she NAILED IT. I wish I had taken pics but I was famished. Next time.

I ordered the Rasta Nachos to start out and they did not see us coming. The sauce, the meats, the shrimp, all of it was absolutely delicious! Then we ordered the Pitmaster Mac n Cheese, Atchafalaya Alfredo, and Gumbo with chicken, sausage and shrimp. Each has its own delicious flavor that was so satisfying! The spice level was perfect for me. We all enjoyed every bite and the portion sizes wer nice! Definitely worth the prices. I am definitely making this part of my must have places when I visit Amarillo. There were several other dishes I want to try, so it will be a definite stop the next time Im in Amarillo!

Ran by a very friendly and culinarily-gifted husband / wife duo, along with their children. I stopped in for lunch this afternoon on my way through Amarillo, had some really great chicken and sausage gumbo, paired with a perfectly-curated summer shrimp salad. The crusty bread soaked up the brown gravy perfectly, while the family s polite kiddos pitched in with delivering the meal to the table and helping clean up. All washed down with a great homemade Texas iced tea, and some local art on the walls. Can t beat a place a like this, especially for the price.

I eat here at least once a week. The food is some of the best in Amarillo. I have eaten just about every dish, from catfish to gumbo, red beans and rice, etoufee and a jalapeno popper burger. But my go to meal is the Rasta Nachos, which blackened chicken, sausage and shrimp in a Jamaican cream sauce and wonton chips. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Chef Ron and his crew are super nice and they can throw down an excellent meal.

Flavorful, delicious, and well sized portions. Ordered the Pit Master Mac & Cheese and the Shrimp Etoufee. The Pit Master was a bit on the greasy, heavy side, but filling and a good mix of bbq meats to mac & cheese. The Shrimp Etoufee had a great red beans and rice side that was soft and flavored with pieces of pork meat. Wait time was a bit long, but friendly service and food comes out fresh and hot. Worth going to and trying it.

I was eager to try this place as it was one of the highest rated in town! I ordered the Pit Master Mac and Cheese and not trying to be rude, but $17 for box tasting Mac and Cheese was very disappointing. Not disappointed in the price but because the noodles were overcooked and cheese tasted very cheap. The food didn t look appetizing to start with, so I was hoping that flavors would satisfy, but it was very bland and lacking flavor. The meat toppings were tough and had a lot of fat and cartilages/tendons that I had to move to the side. My husband didn t touch the food at all. We re not picky eaters and eat anything that looks fresh and made with wholesome ingredients, and unfortunately I have to say this place didn t meet our expectations. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Maybe it was a bad batch? I wouldn t be coming back to find out. The lady behind the counter was VERY sweet tho!

Went in for brunch. Stood in line for 20 minutes waiting to order. They had run out of what my sister wanted, so she just got a waffle instead. I asked for 2 mimosas and was told they dont do those because they always run out of orange juice. They brought the waffle out and a small gumbo, but after asking twice for syrup, then getting it cold, we decided not to wait around. We were charged 1.25 for each water as well as the item on the menu they were out of. We never got a side of bacon or a pasta dish we ordered. We went up and they ended up refunding the missing items. After looking at the receipt we realized they had refunded someone elses card. We had to go back inside once again to get it fixed.

Sorry for the photo.. Id already taken a bit before I thought to snap a photo... this is the pitmaster Mac & cheese ( smoked brisket, roasted pork, grilled hotlink, sausage, bacon, fried onions, and jalapeño served over a creamy Mac & cheese, side of bbq sauce) to die for.. smidget pricey at 14.99 but the portion size easily can feed 2 people or make some awesome leftovers... I added a side of garlic toast and some blackened shrimp...

Food was good but the dish was constructed a little odd. It was also a little odd that they didn t have a booster seat or a high chair available. Service was great.

In town for work for a couple of days and found Sunday s Kitchen. Nice quiet spot, parking is easy enough during the day; there seem to be lots of spaces within easy walking distance. I ordered the Sunday Plate which is half shrimp etouffee and half smoked sausage with red beans over rice. So tasty. So filling. This will be lunch and dinner today.

Sundays kitchen has my seal of approval. The food is very exciting with good strong flavors. It is one of the best comfort food restaurant I had in a while. The portions however can feed a battallion. The amount of food they serve for one dish is good for two. The good and bad is they serve you the food in to go plates which is great since you will take a big portion back home but at the end of the day they are still to go plates which feels wierd when going to a restaurant. The seatting is very bare with foldable chairs and flimsy. If tou overlook those two things you will be treated to one of the best comfort foods in your life. The jambalaya pasta, which is my favorite, has so many rich flavors and strong flavors from the sausage to the chicken and the sauce. You will definitely a must if you are close to downtown amarillo.

Just in Amarillo for one night and found this gem. WOW. The food combinations are off the hook! We had the 420 Burger, the Pit Masters Mac &Cheese and Power Bowls. I love the way the Burger and Pit Master were served in a to-go box because the Pit Master is easily enough to feed two people (unless theyre teenage boys, lol) and I definitely took half home. If you leave hungry, its not their fault! Definitely Recommend.

Alfredo pasta and it had chicken and smoked sausage which totally bonded all the creamy, savory and Smokey flavors together. Best cajun food! We re definitely coming back and trying more! #supportlocalbusinesses

Counter service. Friendly, gave suggestions on menu (my first time) took suggestion for Alfredo chicken & sausage came with garlic toast. Was very tasty with generous helping of meat. My friend got the gumbo he said was homemade tasty. Comfortable clean environment. My second: My Jambalaya was superb! Pasta cooked to perfection, generous amount of chicken & sausage (I 86ed the shrimp) the Cajun flavor was just the right amount of spice. My wife fish taco was bursting with flavor loaded with all the fixins and whole filet.
