I brought my little family in on a Sunday morning as we passed through on our travels. The staff is SO KIND and helpful. They went out of their way to make conversation with my toddlers and truly shone as kind individuals. The food was DELICIOUS and priced well. We will definitely come back. Kid-friendliness: My toddlers were treated with joy and kindness instead of the harsh annoyance parents with littles so frequently face.

Best waffle Ive had, that I didnt make myself. Wow! The Golden Waffle Company has been under new ownership for seven months. I did not know this, but after eating there today, the Golden Waffle Company is my new breakfast stop favorite. My mom and I stopped in today because we were both craving waffles, and we definitely chose perfection. The Golden Waffle did not disappoint. Every item on our plates, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffle brown, and the star of our plates...a perfectly fresh, delicately cooked, golden waffle. If you havent tried the Golden Waffle Company in the last seven months, what are you waiting for? You will be pleasantly pleased with what Jennifer and Dwayne have created. I left a review on yelp yesterday, but we came back again this morning and I had to leave another review but this time on Google! The customer service is just absolutely above and beyond phenomenal! Dwayne and Jennifer, the owners, are so sweet and all of their staff are so helpful and polite!! this morning, I got the hipster bowl and my husband got the breakfast plate. I got the gluten-free alternative for granola. They have the Kind brand of gluten-free granola. And my husband got a gluten-free waffle. They have a separate iron waffle maker for gluten-free waffles. Instead of potatoes he got a cup of fruit as a gluten free alternative. He has celiacs, so we are very careful about where we dine out to eat, but we are SO grateful to have found this gem of a brunch place!!! I had a cappuccino with almond milk yesterday which was also very good!! Everything is amazing and we were so blessed to have dined here!!! Fantastic place! Its very homey and elegant. They have a special selected coffee that has a wonderful taste but is different than Starbucks or other blends in Amarillo. I really liked it. They also have a Dirty Chia Tea that is absolutely amazing! Its a new favorite of mine. The food was really good. I had the Violet Beauregard which was very flavorful and savory. My husband had biscuits and gravy, the gravy was soooo flavorful! I was amazed. The owners were working registers and bussing tables. This is locally owned by a married couple and they are super friendly and peppy! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our first experience here. Thank you Golden Waffle Co for the wonderfully unique experience! Kid-friendliness: We dont have kids, but they have a coloring sheet with crayons available at the front with the menus. The atmosphere is very welcoming and homey and I think kids would like it just fine.

We visited this restaurant after my kids complained about the flies at Jimmys Eggs, and I wish we had skipped Jimmys altogether. Golden Waffle Company has a modern, boutique atmosphere, is extremely clean and inviting. I had the Veg Scramble Wrap but asked for the waffle on the side, and it was perfection. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this establishment and will be back.

My boyfriend and I stopped by for the first time before heading back out of town. We had a great experience. The staff was super friendly. The owner and his wife even stopped by and sat with us for a few minutes and we had great conversation. We ordered the Skinny Elvis and the Hippie Bowl. Both were delicious and plenty of food! We also got an iced latte, which spurred me to make this review. It tasted so rich and fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I hope this review helps them succeed and I m not bashing them, but their chicken and waffles is $16+ . The chicken is very low quality and their waffles are just floppy with no crisp. Butter love biscuits honey hush offers a crispy juicy chicken and crispy biscuit , honey butter & sweet honey. All under $12 (if that) . And it s more filling. Compare that to your chicken and waffles and really consider remapping prices and menu, because I ve seen this happen with every new business in Amarillo, they raise prices, give bad wages, and push out subpar food. Had the Nashville hot chicken and the Nashville sauce was just chili powder and oil. The fried chicken was paper thin and the breading fell of almost immediately. Another dish if you even wanna call it that I had was the eggs benny. The hollandaise sauce was a sad excuse for a sauce. The plating looked like an arts and craft project for a 2nd grader. Giving a one star because I have Celiac disease, and I specifically asked for a gluten-free waffle and they told me I all waffles could be made gluten free that they had their own gluten free waffle machine so I ordered the smaller size of waffle it comes out looking fried but I didn t know any better it was my first time eating there. When the server set my plate down I asked again this is gluten free correct she confirmed it was. I get through some of my plate and I notice there is a couple of fried pickles on my plate, it concerned me so I went back up to the lady and asked why is there a fried pickle on my plate when I ordered waffles she said because it is fried. I said then do you use a gluten free recipe on fried pickles or have a separate fryer for gluten free she said no they aren t gluten free and we use the same fryer for everything so I said so the waffle isn t gluten free and she said let me go ask, comes back and confirms my plate isn t gluten free after all. I can t understand why it would even be considered gluten free if it is cross contaminated. This breaks my heart and worst it completely messes up my stomach. I ll be sick from this incident for about a week. I really wish people would take Gluten free serious but it still seems to be a fad. Please do better! We went in Saturday mid-morning and most tables were waiting for food, obviously overcrowded so we left and returned Monday to a very light time. Food lacked consistency, some waffles over cooked one still doughy. Syrup left wiped tables still sticky. They forgot our drinks, silverware, waters, and extra plates for the kids. Big dust bunnys and garbage with dust on them show lack of care for cleanliness. The A/C does not work well with it being 82-84 while there, but the ventilation intakes were dusty and could explain the issue if the filters were clogged. Unfortunately I dont see this establishment lasting long. Unfortunately we tipped $20 since you pay up front.

Recently ate here with my fiancé for breakfast after church. We really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant inside and the decor. We ordered a Chicken Biggie Wrap and a Pulled Piggy wrap with a side of eggs, coffee, coconut latte, and a couple of dreamsicle mimosas. The mimosas were delicious and mixed well. The food itself was interesting at least on my end with the Pilled Piggy. If you like chicken and waffles, then the Chicken Biggie is your best bet. The Pulled Piggy had fried pickles, pulled pork, eggs wrapped in a waffle. It was interesting but didn t taste bad. The saltiness of the pickles, pulled pork balanced with the sweetness of the waffle. For something that didn t seem to go together, the Pulled Piggy definitely went well together. The only recommendation I d make is to put alittle more pulled pork in the wrap. Overall, if you re looking for a good restaurant to get brunch or breakfast, The Golden Waffle company is definitely a safe bet.

Went in with an open mind and ready to find a new place for weekends with the kiddos this place is not gonna be one of those places. Glad we didn t bring them here. When we walked in, the dude at the front greeted everyone who was before us, and after us, but when we said hi and good morning, dude just dead eye stared past us and didn t say a word. Went in, ordered their rendition of eggs Benedict on a waffle but I m not sure whoever made that dish actually knows what eggs Benedict is. The hollandaise sauce tasted like lemon sour and not actual sauce, the eggs were soft boiled and not poached, the waffle was like eating wet cardboard. Couldn t even finish it. My friends waffle was not any better. How you manage to make a waffle taste dry as hell while still undercooking the inside is beyond me but it was impressive. The bacon tasted like it had been brined by Moses himself in preparation for the walk out of Egypt. During this entire time, the same dude that took our order walked over to every table around us and greeted them again while asking if they needed anything else and even offered to grab their stuff out of the way all while ignoring us as if we didn t even exist. Personally, I don t care but my friend was a bit annoyed and we just regret even tipping at that point. 1/10- for $40+ tip, you d think it would be a place you d WANT to go back to.

If you have children with or without disabilities, or babies. This is not the place to come and eat. Especially if its busy. This place has its protocol with ordering before seating...which we were reminded by the owner or manager who requested 4 adults 2 babies and a toddler stand in an extremely long line before sitting down. Yeah, not gonna happen... The kitchen staff were doing their best but really werent moving with a sense of purpose. I chalk that one up to lack of training and experience. The food and drinks however were very good. For a place this busy they should move to a bigger venue.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Chicken Biggie and it did not disappoint. This meal is big, so two could possibly share. The service was good and the staff were friendly. There was a little bit of a wait, but considering how busy they were, our food came out at a reasonable time. Dietary restrictions: Keto and vegan options available.

Before you can sit down you have to order. We arrived on a Sunday and there were people all the way to the door waiting in line. It smelled like the food was going to be amazing and by looking at the food while in line I thought it was going to be incredible. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. The dreamsicle and sunset mimosas were delicious. The damn hot Nashville sandwich was by far the best of the 2 options I ordered. My favorite part was actually the fried pickles. I loved the texture of the fried and battered chicken with the slaw and pickles. The Mama Migas was supposed to have a spicy crema, but tasted more like Ranch dressing. The tomatillo salsa was bland and tasted mostly of cilantro. I was not a fan of the Mama Migas. My husband ordered the Breakfast Street Tacos and felt the same way about the spicy crema. Was definitely not worth the wait. Would not recommend if you have kids, since it was a wait to order and receive the food. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was nice just wished the food matched.

The waffle was delicious, but the fried chicken needs alot of work, definitely the one thing that needs alot of work done to it. Battered wayy too much, not seasoned, and grease burned like, not golden fried chicken. Thats the only things I had a huge problem with, had to pick all the batter off. Everything else was great. The veg and waffle , for my better half was delicious, and the mimosas were delicious as well. I gave a 2 only because I strongly disliked the fried chicken, and would have loved to get a refund for that part of the meal. Everything else was great like I said.

We love this place! The food is outstanding and the drinks are too. It is really fair priced and the staff has always been very accommodating. I did deduct a star and for good reason. We arrived at 10:33 am. There were 4 other orders ahead of us in line and countless tables that were sitting waiting on their food. As you can see from the photo, our order was placed at 11:00 am. That s 27 minutes in line just to take orders from 5 tables including us (3 people). The drinks came to the table within 5 minutes and they were great! It took 49 minutes to get our meal. That s a little long for eggs and waffles. It was still good and hot as it was just made. I peered into the kitchen from our table and there are 6 people working just the kitchen plus the nice fellow that makes the drinks, the young lady at the register and the young lady running the food to the tables. All of them working hard with a smile and very friendly. I just don t understand how the kitchen can be so slow. It has progressively gotten slower through the now 5 times we have dined here. All in all it is a good experience. Just don t visit and think it s going to be quick. It is worth it for the food and the friendly folks.

The place is cool, employees seem pretty chill. I got here at 12:30 and they closed at two, I m not too sure if this had an impact on the quality of the food or not but I ordered chicken and waffles with Spicy honey. When I received the food they served it in big portions, big enough for two. The food was ok, a 5-10 at best. It was a thick piece of chicken but there didn t seem to be any flavor, the chicken was way too lightly seasoned for the size and I seemed to have more breading then actual chicken. Over all, it was ok but I ve had better before. If I decide to try it again I may stop in the early morning to see if the quality changes but as of right now I can t highly recommend this restaurant.

The whole concept is nice however they can do some improvements. Service guys were super friendly and makes you feel good and welcome. Food was good, waiting time was longer than expected,( look like working under pressure its something they may need help and get someone to given direction). Food is little over price for what you get but has good taste. My family and I leave with smoke smells on our clothes and hairs, maybe the smoke hood wasnt working properly. Anyway I will give it a next try and see.

Really excited to try GWC, still haven t tried it because we waited over an hour for our food and when we asked for it we were told our ticket had been lost. No one was even tending to the tables, we were not checked up on once. Awful customer service. Manager never came out. They did give me a gift card that I gave back. I will not be returning.

The chick who was making everyones mimosas just didn t read the whole ticket so not only did we wait an hour for our mimosas they forgot two of them. Good food, eclectic vibe, unique dishes, takes some time to cook and $35-40 for 2 people so I feel it s overpriced for what it is even if they do use quality ingredients. The waffles honestly, were not that great. Dense, thin, plain. Taste exactly like an ice cream cone. The waffle browns and other items on the menu are much better. I wouldnt go just to get waffles. Waffle browns are very good and not too overly greasy. Lady at the register was extremely nice and remade a waffle before giving us our food because in her opinion it was cold and unservable. That was appreciated. I do believe they would do anything in their power to try to make you happy if you ask. Took over 30 min to get food with 5-6 tables waiting. Seemed like they were running around a bit stressed out working on each order individually. I would recommend if it weren t so expensive or you at least got more for what you paid. They charged a dollar for a small side of whipped cream (couple spoon fulls), and another dollar for a few slices of strawberries. If it was a little quicker to get food, even 20-25 minutes, and $30 or under for 2 people, i would be more likely to return.

My kids refused to eat their meals because it was soo dry. These kids usually devour breakfast! My waffles in the freezer are somehow better. What a great find here in Amarillo! Too many options I went with The Fat Elvis, a perfect balance of sweet/savory! The employees were nice and very engaging for this road tripper spending a couple days in town before moving on. Definitely recommended and I ll be hitting them one more time before moving on!

Very nice decorations, with a busy morning every morning and plenty of patrons to keep them in buisness. Their only shortcomings seemed to be the cashiers seemed to be confused by the register system and that seemed to slow down a lot of the transactions for the morning. The dinning area is clean, with space to get around but nowhere to sit until someone leaves. The busser did a good job at maintaining the area. The food is not worth the money charged for it. Amarillo faces a shortage of brunch spots and this buisness capitalizes this perfectly. The food is decent, but portions are what I would expect in Russ1a.

You are suppose to order before you take a seat. While waiting in line to order other people were taking tables before ordering. One table came up open and one of us went to go ask the lady that was cleaning it if we can sit. She stated yes and it was a good idea. When I was fixing to order they told me they will not take my order unless I tell my family to get up the table. I understand the rules but you let others do it. We even asked an employee before we sat there. Fine dont take my order and we will never come back.

Not worth the price ($10.99) for the amount of food that was given. Only half a waffle, the sausage patty was tiny (thin & 1in wide), and food was also cold. 2 stars bc coffee and the little hashbrown waffle was good. I suggest learning how to make fluffy scrambled eggs, making sausage patties bigger, and putting the whole waffle.

I ordered a cinnamon roll waffle and was surprised at the petiteness of it, but was actually full before I started on the 4th quarter.
