DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! We recently had found a house that was going to be so perfect for our family. We filled out the application and paid the application fees. They then proceeded to ask for 6 months of income verification and called our previous landlords. They then texted the next day saying they had raised the price on this house. They need to honor the amount they had it listed for and application was filled out for. VERY unprofessional and disappointing.

The agent was very knowledgeable, professional and thorough with property details, policies and procedures. I personally felt that some of the properties were SUB-PAR for the monthly rental amount. This company has the highest non-refundable pet deposits as well as an additional MONTHLY pet fee, that I, myself, have encountered in Amarillo (higher than hundreds of Lubbock properties too)!

I leased a house for 3 years for me and my kids. French and company always went above and beyond in my opinion. Mr French even showed up on several Saturdays to ensure that the people renting in the apartment complex next door were removed from the property if they were involved in anything illegal. I really appreciated this because of my kids and of course the families that lived in the apartment complex next door. With that said I was sent a bill for the damages that living in the house for three years with two kids and four pets caused. I never even thought to question Mr French or his company because of course there was damage done to the house and it my responsibility to pay for it. I m paid in full and French and company and I are in good standings. I would rent/ lease from French and company and I would strongly recommend others to do the same.

RECORD EVERYTHING before and after your lease, even the yard. They will try to scam you for anything they can. Landscaping bill to a yard thats 95% dirt. 1970s oven that barely worked = cleaning fee. Getting anything repaired takes multiple calls. Read your lease thoroughly and save your videos to fight the inevitable charges that will suddenly be levied against you.

This place is SO Shady... BIG HUGE RED FLAGS, From the jump, And, start honestly...!!! They discriminate against people who have been evicted, So if your a person of color and have been evicted they dont want you to look into renting any of their properties, The woman on the phone said they deny people who have been evicted! Another thing is they are out here really trying to charge, $1,000, For a pet entry fee, They want it ALL up front immediately which is insane and another red flag, Because what damage is a declawed cat going to do? Nothing. After seeing all the 1 star reviews on here, Glad, We changed our mind about trying to rent from here, 100%

applying for a 600 deposit home and then they increase it to 1,600 deposit. Reasons being my credit isn t high? In paper it states if your credit is 550 or below to explain why, well my credit is past 550 and still requires an explanation?? That wasn t in the application Also telling me I can t pay for 800 a months rent, when I bring 2,400 home a month at least. That s unrealistic. Telling you I m transferring my job in canyon to Amarillo and I need to give you a note stating that I m being transferred? That wasn t in the application. Saying my information is a wreck? What s a wreck is the review rating.

I went to see the 2 bedroom house on cline. Asked what year it was made and the lady showing had no clue. Then I decided to look at reviews. Wow...I cant take the chance being charged for lawn maintenance so I guess I will pass but another red flag was on the application they marked off the 30 and wrote 50. To quick of a fix for me to chance. Thanks tho looked like a cute 2 bedroom but I was going to ask for a mold report but wont even bother them now.

RENTERS BEWARE. Ive rented for over 10 years in Amarillo and this is by far the SHADIEST place I have EVER done business with. Front desk attitude is regular. Delays to repair serious problems is inevitable. Oh and if you rent from somewhere theyve neglected to repair and update after you move out they are going to try to foot the bill on you. Luckily, my lawyers ready to fight. Also, what kind of professional business replies to negative reviews with name calling customers. Are teenagers managing this page? P.S. The office smells like greed.

SCAMMERS! They will neglect a property for years and then hit you with the bill when you move out and not even inform you. Will not contact you, but send to collections for damages on their ghetto properties that have never been updated. They will update when you move out and try to make you pay for repairs. Horrible, money hungry scam of a realtor agency. Rent paid on time for for over a year. BEWARE DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM OR GIVING THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO.

Cindy at French & Co took the absolute best care of us. We were buying a house from out of state and hit more than a few road blocks in the process. Cindy was patient, kind, and helpful in every aspect. She worked around our travel schedule and helped as much as she could making things so much easier on us preparing for the big move .She knows Amarillo like the back of her hand and I always felt like I was in great hands. I couldn t recommend her enough to anyone I know looking to buy a home!

She gave us great advice for how to get top dollar for our home and helped us to really understand the process so we didn t feel like we were in the dark. So far, my agent Pablo has not impressed me much. I told him from the start I wanted copies of the HOA restrictions, he said no problem. Then when he sent me the papers to sign electronically, the box stating I didnt want a copy of the HOA restrictions was checked, I signed all the forms except that one and told Pablo he needed to redo that one form before I could sign it. I believe that was Friday morning, I signed the last form on Saturday and the wife signed all forms the same day.He said this would delay closing. I asked him why, nothing can be done on the weekend. He told me to have a good day. We are supposed to close this Saturday MARCH 6th, I hope so, considering I took off from work.

My wife and I made an inquiry about a property on Dec 13, 2020. We were corresponding with Mr. Sintas and made an offer on the property we wanted to buy and scheduled a phone call with him. He never called or responded to any follow up emails. The property we wanted now has a listing status as Pending Contingent which was updated Jan 16, 2021. An email was sent through the main contact us form to try and get some answers and still no response. It is very unfortunate since my parents wanted to buy a couple lots close to the lot we were wanted to buy. Even had some friends who were interested in a couple lots that Mr. Sintas had sent us to look at. Certainly not a business I will bother with again and I have let my family and friends know not to even try. Update: Reached out to Mr. French who did offer an apology but it was mixed in with us sharing blame with his agent on miscommunication. Mr. Sintas also sent us an email that was arrogant and condescending and contained information that if he had sent the first time we had inquired about the property then none of this would have happened. And to top it off Mr. Sintas offered no apology. Mr. French, I did as you asked and reconsidered my Google review but I will only add one star only because you offered to reach out. Your desire to protect your agent and make excuses on his behalf and his arrogance are unacceptable.

I m going to say this as nicely and cleanly as possible. I rented the house at 1404 s. Western street in amarillo for 3 years. Every time I tried to let French and Company know about anything that may be wrong with the residence, they took a long time to fix the issue. For example, they were notified of an inadequately secured door frame that would not hold the screen door closed with this wind and a window that was broken the entire winter. They thought it was a good idea to send an elderly gentleman (80 years plus) to attempt to fix the issue and then the screen door still wasn t fixed.The man came 2 months late because it was too cold outside to fix those issues . I am currently being charged for the screen door that blew open in the wind and shattered after we vacated the residence. Paul French will scam you people. His secretary Devon, when faced with confrontation on something they haven t fixed, will tell you that you are being threatening and wanting too much from Paul French. This is the worst property management I have ever come across and I have lived in some shady places. Please don t get caught up in his lies.

I was staying at a house I rented through french and co. It rained one day and my sons room flooded bad. There was mold all inside the walls and floorboards, from where it bad flooded before. I asked them to do a mold inspection to make sure it was safe for my kids..... But they refused to do so. I moved out. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND THEM. There was not a place to leave a review, so I will do it on the main page. My Co-worker is Active Duty Military and is relocating to Dumas, TX. He was looking to a place to rent for him and his family. While working with this company he signed and gave them $600 for the application. They then wanted him to send over $1300 for a security deposit WITHOUT sending him the lease. He called and asked about the lease multiple times(I was in the office during this time) and they kept saying they would send it but they would need the security deposit first. So after a few days of going back and forth and not receiving his lease, he and his family decided that they would no longer pursue the property. My coworker then asked for his 600 dollars back because they lease was never sent. Now Paul French and his company are refusing to give him back his money because they refused to follow proper procedures and protocols. Please do not work with this company as they are not only rude, do not follow realty guidelines, but their professionalism and customer service was absolutely disgusting especially to family that sacrifices and serves their country. I will also ensure I go out of my way to file a complaint with the BBB.

I recently worked with Dana Neely on purchasing a home and she was a pleasure to work with! As a first-time homebuyer I was always worried that I would be rushed or ripped off by an agent but I was amazed at how patient and professional Dana is. She is extremely prompt at answering any questions I had and even recommended me a great home inspector as well as foundation inspector and was thorough at explaining the entire homebuying process to me. She even helped expedite the closing process so that I could have an extra 10 days moving into my new home. Dana is a great agent to work with and I will always recommend her to any of my friends that are looking to purchase a home in the future. Thanks for all the help!!

I leased a house with French and Co Reality (owned by Paul French) from January 2019 through January 2020, and it was the worst experience I ve ever had leasing. Please note, Paul French is the property manager and not the owner of this house. Unfortunately, the owners of the house did not live in Amarillo, TX, so all communication was done through French and Co. My sister and I paid our lease in FULL in February 2019, but we were treated with disrespect for the entire duration of our lease. I was hung up on and yelled at by Paul French and their end of the lease was not upheld. The house was not clean at all when we first viewed the house. The French and Co employee showing the house promised it would be cleaned before we signed the lease. After we signed the lease, we went back to the house and it still had not been cleaned! The toilets were disgusting, there was an infestation of bugs, windows and window seals were sticky and dirty, and the floors were not vacuumed or mopped. Paul French then sent another housekeeper to clean the house, but only AFTER I made several phone calls requesting the house be cleaned, and Paul insisted on walking through the house to see exactly what needed to be cleaned. The second incident was a miscommunication when we installed a trampoline in the backyard. We were not aware this was against our lease, but we received a notice that we would have 30 days to take it down or be evicted. I understand that trampolines are not allowed due to insurance reasons, but after paying our lease in full I expected to be treated with familiarity or a least a decent level of respect from French and Co. When we were notified of the trampoline issue we promptly removed the trampoline from the property. After this, we reviewed our lease in depth and found several discrepancies between what were promised in the lease and what the house actually included. An electric garage door was supposed to be installed, the kitchen was supposed to be updated with a garbage disposal, and the dishwasher was supposed to be mounted to the cabinet (it fell every time the door was opened). I called Paul French to discuss these terms, and he stated that these items were marked out on his copy of the lease. However, they were NOT marked out on our copy and it was never discussed or agreed upon that we would not see these updates. Paul refused to discuss these issues in a mature manner and said I don t have time for this before hanging up on me. We encountered multiple plumbing issues. The first was not resolved for 6 weeks, and a leaky toilet caused our water bill to be astronomical. The second time we called for plumbing repairs, we were told it would be weeks before their preferred plumbing company would be available. I requested the name of the plumber and called them myself. They were very nice and had no issues coming out the same day. French and Co blatantly lied about the plumber s availability. Despite loving our home and the location being ideal for our family, we decided we would rather move than enter another lease with a company as poorly ran as French and Co. We kept the house clean and the yard was mowed and taken care of regularly. We were quiet neighbors and respectful tenants, but despite all of this we were denied leases with multiple companies after we received a bad review with French and Co. This had the potential to affect the livelihood of 2 adults and 3 children who were almost left without a place to live due to Paul s selfishness and greed. Houses are being charged with a high market value but are dilapidated and falling apart. Realtor and staff have no communication therefore I sat for an hour and a half in 95-degree weather with my children waiting for a realtor who didnt show up. And then upon calling the office was talk to you like I was the one who made the mistake and was told that my complaints about the house were not relevant and I can rent from another place if I didnt like it. They dont even have the fence in the backyard. A 40$ fix and didnt even bother before renting

Most unprofessional people I have ever had to deal with. My boyfriend and I rent a house from them. It takes them weeks and weeks to fix things. I haven t had a working washer or dryer for almost four weeks. Their late fees are 100 per day. Cause heaven forbid people ever have emergency s in their life?! Their secretary is the rudest person I have ever had to talk to. I called about my washer and dryer for like the 15th time. And she informed me that I owe 150 in pet fees? No one has ever mentioned before. And then a 200$ fee for when they came and painted a wall?!!! It took them 5 minuets to pain this wall. What do you mean 200$? Which has never been mentioned until today?!? Then she continued to tell me not to argue with her, and she was busy. This secretary also gave out my personal information to a loan company!! So unprofessional. Don t rent from them. Cause your going to have to deal with very unprofessional people.

This company is a total joke. I used these clowns to sell my home. My agent was Pablo Sintas. He was very nice and friendly before I agree hire him as my agent. After I sign the agreement he was like a ghost. He didnt answer his phone most of the time I called him. The few times I actually talked to him on the phone he was in a hurry to get me off the phone. The title company was more help than he was even though they werent very good at their job. Beware if you use this company. Hmmm...Maybe it was just my agent. I would never use these guys again. The whole process was very difficult. I wanted to back out many many times.

This company is a joke. We moved out because the owners were selling the house. They charged us $200.00 for two lightbulbs being out they charged us $100.00 because the lawn wasnt mowed... He took pictures on april 6th and we moved out on the 15th. He charged us $400.00 for dogs that were never there. They said that they had written statements from our neighbors. We asked can we see those statements and he refused to show us. So i decided to go visit the neighbors and they said they have never talked to the french & co... The owner of this company name is Paul he will try and scam you for every cent that u own. Dont even attempt to get your deposit back!!!
