Peaceful, cool breeze from the water! Gun shooting range across from it! 12/27/22 it was full of the Canadian geese that Ive been hearing night and day flying, and seeing in the sky from Grand and I40! The water level is way too low for the ducks, seagulls, and geese at this time! Would be great if the city, or firemen could give them some water! Also needs benches to sit on around the lake!! Playground: Big, nice park. Dog-friendliness: Nice fenced areas for dogs to run, & play!

I wish the large dog park was more than just a dirt lot with trash and broken glass. No water fountain, no garbage cans or poop bags. We usually go elsewhere. The plus is this park dries out much quicker and is less muddy. The main park is very nice though. Green grass and nice walking path. The pond is clean and pretty.

It s a beautiful sunset, in fact it s the best I ve experienced in this part of Texas yet! It s important to note that I ve only spent little time in the state so my experience is limited. Regarding fishing, since it was late when arriving and cold I did not see much action. Also at the area I came into the park (some of the park perimeter is closed to vehicle travel) there was cat-o-nines which were tall I couldn t much reach the water straight but the bank was tall enough to toss over and beyond easily. Snags were minimal for that type of weed however due to my time of visit I didn t see much action which I m certain it was only due to circumstance. The water certainly will have fish in the cover. I ll go back before leaving to try and land a good one! (Will update)

We rented the large pavilion, it was a nice place. The grass was green, the little plia lake was beautiful scenery. The pavilion was equipped with electricity, and 6 extra large tables, and a big grill. The only thing it lacked was a water spigot, which we really would have loved being it was extremely hot the day of our event.

Peaceful park with plenty of grassy areas, playground, and small body of water with fishing area off the dock. Home to lots of wildlife, it is on the outskirts of the southeast corner of the city. Also has a nice dog park area for your mutts!

Nice park. Has a lake, playground, pavilion, picnic tables, and camp stoves. They should pick up the trash though, the locals dont seem to respect nature too much.

This is a pretty good place to come and walk around and look at the water and also bring your family for picnic. They also have a dog run and a soccer field for the kids to play. And if you like fishing this pond has carp, catfish and also bass.

Very disappointed in the restrooms at this park. Doesnt City of Amarillo have employees who clean the facilities at public parks? Mosquito infestation anywhere there is grass. I would only recommend this place to people who like bug bites and feces on their shoes and thats only if you are standing up while using the restrooms. Come on City employees... really?

The park was nice but the fields are riddled with mosquitoes bc its so close to a small lake and the water treatment area. I used every big repellent I could and was still being eaten up. Best to wear long clothes.

One of Amarillos most natural scenic parks has large lake with doc good for fishing. There is also a hidden area to this park that most dont know about. Behind the lake in the wooded area you will experience how Amarillo s native folige and wildlife as if Amarillo was never there! Honestly its at its most beautiful point during spring-summer. This place is a hidden gem!

This park has so much potential. Very neglected by the city. The city refuses to stock fish. Tons of stickers in the weeds. No grass. Also drug needles and homeless people living at the park. Sad. Because it could be the best park in Amarillo if taken care of.

Peaceful most of the time. The only complaint I have is that there is ALWAYS trash stuck in the reeds by the water. It seems like all the parks in Amarillo Texas have a real problem with trash. The city cant keep the parks clean. They could be so much nicer if only they we clean. And people, Pick up after Yourselves!

A small park. It does have a playground area for kids, a large covered structure with tables for pick nicks & large gatherings. There is also 2 sports playing fields & fishing in the lake. There is adequate parking and restroom facilities.
