Ive been vegan for 3 years and the vegan YCSF burger was, hands down, the best burger Ive ever eaten, vegan or otherwise. The imposter taco was also very good. The fries where tasty and seasoned just right. While the food was amazing, the staff made the overall experience even better. They where so nice and friendly but also professional. Im so glad we tried this place! I have a feeling Im going to be comparing every other burger I eat in the future to the vegan YCSF burger, wishing it was the YCSF burger. (EDIT FOR UPDATE: Full transparency - a few hours after eating my husband and I both got stomach aches. He got bad gas and I got indigestion, gas, and heartburn. It was the only thing we ate or drank (except water) in a 16 hour period so we know it has to be from the food we ate there. However, please know that its very likely that its just because neither my husband nor I are used to eating fried foods. But since its now 7 hours later and I still have heartburn and gas and its keeping me awake, I felt obligated to update my review. I do think that its likely just because my body isnt used to fried and oily foods, but still super surprised that Im being effected so much even hours later. I do wish this buisness great success, but I just needed to be 100% honest with our experience.)

Today was my third time eating here, first inside the actual establishment. Gonna keep this short as possible but this Place is the bomb. The vibe, the food and everything in between is just magic. Big props to the chef and his and her magnificent culinary skills. I will say, I ordered to much food at once being the tacos are loaded but with everything I ordered vegan, Ill have a good lunch for two days to come with not a scrap wasted. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance and parking are accessible now depending on traffic parking could be an issue but I wouldnt let it detour you. The table closest to the bathrooms is one I choose for a Manuel push chair and was able to scoot in fully. Go enjoy this place and dont let the negatives of your disability stop you from the experience. Just make sure you leave your negativity at home.

We did an online pickup order on our drive through Amarillo after reading good reviews. 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals - all were fantastic and everyone ate it up. It is not fast food but we didn t mind waiting a bit and stretching our legs. Staff was super friendly; we will be back when coming through here again!

Everything yes! The food was insane: fresh ingredients, bold flavors, so many vegan options that are actually delicious! I tried four different vegan tacos and all were seriously good. My favorite was actually just the vegan classic soft taco, but I also inhaled the vegan hulk. (Also four was 2+ meals) The staff was super extra fun and friendly, and the atmosphere was happy and hippie dippie. I was only passing through but I m going to attempt to make this on my way again. So excited to find such tasty and interesting vegetarian/vegan options! Especially with both meat alternatives (impossible, chicken soy curls) and mushroom/tofu. We picked up for take out. We had the vegan hulk salad, dragon tofu salad, and kids tofu nuggets. We d never had tofu nuggets before but loved these, the seasoned corn chips were also very good. Loved both salads, they were both very good. Maybe a bit small/light on greens but very filling with the toppings. The one of us who doesn t handle spice found the sunny sauce on the dragon tofu salad too spicy to have much of, but the house remoulade was very good.

YCSF was discovered as we searched for a restaurant near our hotel as we were passing through town. We chose it because it had 4+ star reviews by over 1,000 people, it is a local place, it is chef owned. Well it was all that and then some! Food was not only bursting with flavor but hefty portions. Wait staff were friendly and very accommodating giving great suggestions on menu items. Atmosphere was fun and eclectic. We each ordered the Yellow City Burger and then shared Animal Fries. Delicious sauces! I love Iced tea and was pleasantly surprised to find a flavored tea - Blueberry Pomegranate on the menu. Bonus for beverages was free refills. Whether passing through or if you are living in Amarillo this is a must stop.

Yellow City Street food- My wife and I went yesterday for dinner and I just have to share we really value places like this exist in Amarillo. They were very friendly and clearly take pride and have passion for their food. They just check off so many boxes for us with what we consider a good restaurant. The speed was reasonable, the quality was top notch and the over all environment just has a good fun vibe. So if you dont know about them or havent been in a while I definitely recommend you check out. Vegetarian options: They clearly labeled each item as having a vegetarian option available.

Out of Amarillo s roughly 500 dining establishments, Yellow City Street Food is my favorite. Maybe it s because I love the alternative scene, or maybe it s because I like progressive American fare done right. YCSF scores highly in both regards. You can dress up or down, show your tats and piercings (or none), and dine with a very diverse group of people who have come to know that YCSF loves all and serves all. And that is evident on the menu board, which has evolved through the years from whatever they felt like making on any given day, to what is now a strong group of items that appear every day, with everyone covered. Vegan? Vegetarian? Omnivore? They love all of us. In addition to amazing delicious food, they have an impressive rotating selection of craft beers. You won t find any mass-produced swill running through their taps or taking up space in the fridge. On this visit I had one each of the Dragon Tofu Taco and the Imposter Taco. Both are vegan, the former featuring huge chunks of lightly fried tofu, the latter with similarly fried cremini mushrooms. A heavenly vegan remoulade tops both. I washed it down with an IPA from Tupp s Brewery. Two tacos are filling, but I confess to sometimes also getting a side of their Salt & Pepper Fries, which are to die for. Other times I have chosen their Veggie Burger as well as the Vegan Impossible Burger. And the omnivores who may be dining with me love everything from the other side of the menu. YCSF is a place that folks with different dietary bents can come together to celebrate a meal, and not have to worry if their specific type of food will be available. No judging allowed, just good food. Vegetarian options: There are numerous vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. You will not starve here!

The food was very good. The greens were fresh. I had the regular burger without a bun because I eat gluten free. When I was almost finished with my burger I found a hair in it. I refused their offer to cook another. They did refund the price of the burger. They do not allow the customer to modify most of the food. So if you dont want cheese, you need to choose a plain burger. My husband had salmon tacos which were very tasty. I could not order their fries because they are battered, so I had a side salad instead. They do have a gluten free menu. They dont have many dairy free items.

Vegan items share a fryer with animal products. Almost all vegan options go in the fryer. I was able to get a salad only. I believe quiche and the Impossible burger didnt go in the fryer, but some of us dont like eggs, vegan eggs, or Impossible products... because we dont like animal tasting things. They had another, house-made vegan burger, but it goes in the shared fryer. No offer to pan fry it. I wish we had just walked out and not ordered. Now were struggling to find somewhere to get me something filling to hold me for the impossibly long drive through this food desert back to quasi-civilization. This area always makes me wish we just stayed on vacation. Its such a disappointment. Dietary restrictions: Almost all vegan items are cross-contaminated in a shared fryer, including the veggie burger.

Pros: - cool atmosphere - nice staff - good beer - supports local - outdoor seating Cons: - very long wait for your food (but this is posted so you should be aware) I will say, I worked in the food industry in two fast paced counter-serve restaurants with only one person preparing the food (me). Given my experience I don t think it is acceptable to expect patrons to wait an hour for their food, especially for 4 tacos and a half order of fries. This is the reason I can t give 5 stars.

After a long trip from California, this place was a perfect find! I was helped to find wonderful vegan options, and everything was so damn delicious!! The staff was above and beyond in hospitality and attentiveness. On my return trip from Virginia, I will be stopping again!

Y all! The staff were super sweet, the decor and music are super cool, the fact that they have an open kitchen just inspires confidence and the food! Oh, the food. We got a vegan smash burger with onion jelly, vegan Parmesan fries, an impostor taco and a dragon tofu taco and we couldn t decide which one was the best. So much so, that we got another identical order to go, since we re road-tripping and we didn t anticipate finding anything better for the rest of the day.

This place is awesome. Best service Ive had just about anywhere. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. And the food... Its so good it makes you want to swear. A jerk chicken taco? Yes please. Perfectly peppered caramelized onions on animals fries? Double win. And good beer on top of everything else? Need I say more?

Awesome vegan options. Great local craftsmanship. They have gluten-free and dairy free options. I only gave 4 stars to the atmosphere because the ventilation in this place is not very good. When they cook with spices, they permeate the air and make it difficult to breathe. Did I order the diablo shrimp tacos? Yes. So I was already going to have a spicy experience, but you may not want to. There is outdoor seating available if you prefer mild air. Vegetarian options: Tofu options are marinated and tasty. Dietary restrictions: Dairy free is made available as well as gluten free.

In town for work and needed to find a place that had vegan options. Found this place on Happy Cow and placed a take out order. I got their smashed burger and animal style fries - made them vegan. Both were delicious. When I arrived to pick up my food I realized I had been there before a couple of years back. I remember being super impressed with their vegan tacos. Staff is super friendly. Very casual chill place to grab some food and a beer. Highly recommend. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options Dietary restrictions: Vegan Parking: Parking lot

Been here several times since moving to the area. The food has always been excellent! This time I got 2 Diablo Shrimp Tacos and had them make it dairy free. These were probably some of the best shrimp tacos Ive had. Definitely in the top 3! The seasoning on the shrimp was perfect with the right amount of spices and flavor. The cabbage gave everything a satisfying crunch which was a nice touch. The wife got the salad version of the Fish Taco. It came in a bowl with plenty of food! She said the fish had great flavor and the dressing was a perfect pairing. Yellow City Street Food also has a great selection of craft beers. I had an excellent mocha stout! The place is rather small and parking is minimal but well worth the visit and offers something different for Amarillo. Well be back!

We came in last minute due to a car show. They let us dine and enjoy our food without having attitude. The most important part was the food, the food was served hot and it was delicious ! 10 out of 10 from service to food! Will highly recommend YCSF!

I wasn t sure I would like the burger with caramelized onions and everything else, but I let them do the cooking for me like the signs say. I think it is all of the YCSF experience and it was worth it. Surrender your picky food tastes and let them make you some awesome food. I know I didn t regret it!

Ok, little gems like this restaurant are what I live for when traveling. No offense to anyone from Texas but I really wasnt looking forward to the Northern drive across Texas on the 40. Man, did this restaurant make it worth it! As a vegetarian, I loved all the options available to me (I chose a breaded mushroom taco, the name of which I cant remember). My wife got a hangover burger and we split an order of parmesan garlic fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and completely unlike the same old stuff you find everywhere. But hey, dont listen to me. Try this place for yourself and tell me you arent blown away by the unique flavor combinations and the eclectic atmosphere (dont get me started...I could write a whole review about how fun and punk-rock the decor is inside). If youre going through Amarillo, you would sell yourself short if you skipped YCSF. Ahh-mazing!

We were on a road trip and randomly stopped in, and man am I glad we did. The service was outstanding! The staff were all super friendly and took their time to explain different menu options. The food was just as good as the service. I had the carnitas and my wife had the chicken tinga and we couldnt decide which was best. They were both so good!! I will absolutely stop in here again next time were in the area.

Hamburger was really good and had lots of vegetarian options and some gluten free. What helped this review the most was the thought they put into their bathrooms! They had sanitary pads, tampons, baby wipes, diapers and it was clean. This place gets busy and did i mention they have some good mimosas
