Im from Rio de Janeiro Brazil Spectacular place for those who dream of living in a trailer or motor home you wont want to leave the museum be sure to visit if you are in the region there is a bus that participated in a film called vacation in the trailer thats the name of the film in Portuguese. The museum is completely free. Pay attention to the entrance to the museum, its a little complicated, its worth it in the city of Amarílio Texas on route 66. Watch my YouTube channel @allanporai

We were here about noon on Saturday the 6th July. Followed GPS directions and were in the parking lot of a flooring store next to Jacks rv place next to a big closed fence. Nobody else in the parking lot. I looked around and there was nobody at the furniture store, and we didnt see a way to even get to the museum; unless you were suppose to go thru the closed/locked gates . Very disappointed!!!!

My husband and I dont even own an RV but we found this museum fascinating and enjoyable. It was like stepping into a time capsule being able to envision the glory days of the beginnings of the RV explosion when camping went from basic tent camping to luxury camping on the go. It includes original RVs from the 1930s going forward. Very nice and helpful volunteers give the personal touch. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem, literally!! A little tough to find off an access road with little signage, but WELL worth the hunt. Incredible collection of RVs, most in outstanding condition for their age. The best part is that you are encouraged to go in and look around inside them. They are not just shells either. the staffs attention to detail is fantastic. Make sure you look at everything, inside and out. Tons of artifacts arranged around the RVs give a window to the past. Free admission!!!

A fun little museum. Free but they take donations. I recommend donating what you can to keep this little enterprise going. They had all the way back to a 1935 Airstream, an RV used in the movie RV, and many other interesting vintage RVs. Also some super cars and a nice collection of Harley Davidson bikes. Be sure to visit both buildings. A second nearby building had a 1963 split-window Corvette Stingray, a newer Indy Car vette, and several vintage race cars.

Our family was really looking forward to this. We tried to visit on October 21 but the gate was closed, and no one was answering the phone, and there was no sign on the gate, despite the web site saying they were open during those hours. Very disappointed. Perhaps call ahead if you are driving there specifically to see the museum.

This is the coolest museum weve ever been to, ever. We are RV enthusiasts, and owners of our own little Class C motorhome. This was such a delight!! And they have much more than just amazing rare RVs (most of which you can ((please be gentle and careful!!! )) walk through!) But also equally amazing vintage and rare sports cars, motorcycles, toys, memorabilia and more. We had the biggest blast here!! This place is free admission, with acception of appropriate donations. We wish we couldve gave more, but we had a $20 on us and threw that in there. They also have free cold water for everyone. Yes, you can feel the love here. Now, for our pro tips on visiting this must-see Amarillo gem; finding the entrance. When you approach the RV museum, you will see a big, dark building which has Sisemore in big letters, on the side of it. Youve found it! Turn into the first entrance, and pass through the gate, where the parking and entrance is on your right. Dont forget to check out the little building next to the main one, theres lots of awesome memorabilia and sports cars in there. Happy travels! P. S, we will be recommending this to everyone we know. And, I have to mention this: the little informative signs which most everything has, are so super wholesome and adorable, they kind of make my heart overflow with joy. You totally need to see this Museum! 1,00,00,00,000,00 recommend out of 10.

The coolest little museum I ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. If you re a camper or just have an appreciation for incredible examples of Americana you need to see this place. The admission is free but donations are accepted. You can enter the classic restored RVs and get an idea of how far they ve come but just how similar the newest models are to some of the first ones built. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our RV group visited this museum. They easily accommodated our group of 30 or so. Since we all have motorhomes, we found the museum extremely interesting with all the vintage RVs, motorcycles, and a handful of race cars. The museum curator was so nice, gave us the history of how the museum evolved over the decades. One really special feature is that you can go inside almost all of the RVs. Often we cant really explore vintage units. Our group had a great time and I certainly encourage anybody with an interest in vintage vehicles or travel trailers to visit this museum. Amazing individual and museum! We loved the vintage RV s, restored cars and motorcycles. Owner was very nice and talked with us about the history of his collection. Directions to the museum led us to a cemetery but he is located across the freeway in a warehouse location. Definitely worth visiting!!!

Definitely worth a visit! Lots of unique and antique RVs as well as Motorsports vehicles and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Google shows it is temporarily closed but it is not. It has moved locations. The new address is 14201 I-27, Amarillo, TX. It is behind Yates Flooring. Worth the time to stop and see it!

This is a free museum on the back of an RV dealership but dont spend a second thinking they will sell you something. They have clearly put this museum together at great expense just because of their love of RVs and motorcycles (plus a few other slices of Americana). It is well laid out with good documentation of the history of each item. It is not only an RV museum but there are a lot of classic Harley-davidson motorcycles as well, one dating back to WWII. Im glad we stopped in for an hour.

This place is FANTASTIC. For several reasons. 1- the museum is build on love for the past camping and nature enjoyment. 2- the examples are in excellent restored / original shape and really reflect the past. 3- the admission is free BUT the VALUE is PRICELESS! 4 and Last The RV store has great people that know their product and are just plain NICE to BUY stuff from. So GO and enjoy a great look at the past AND consider supporting the owners by making a purchase!

The display in the museum is made in the most impressive way.We felt very special in light of the fact that the owner of the place, welcomed us personally. We entered his office and there we were also informed about his connection to the State of Israel and the Hebrew language.Admission is free. The place is highly recommended for a visit
