Had dinner with the family here a few times, the waitress (Caitlyn) was very attentive, provided excellence service. Gave great food recommendations, refilled the drinks in a timely manner. this is the 3rd time she has waited on us and has been great every time. Definitely a wonderful waitress very sweet girl

I go here only for happy hour because the food isnt good and the wait is usually long. I will say the restaurant is always clean inside. The host station is always full of chit-chatting wait staff. You have to wait to be seated in the bar area instead of open seating like every other restaurant. No matter if their signage says the patio is open or not, they never have chairs set up outside and the patio is dirty, its obvious the staff doesnt want to wait tables outside. Last time i was there we asked to be sat outside and the hostess said Oh theres no chairs set up, Id have to get some and wipe them down but I cant even though the sign said Patio Open and the weather was about as perfect as panhandle weather can get. Overall this place could really be great if theyd try out some of the practices that work so well at their Georgia and Coulter street sister locations. Ill continue to go for the cheap drinks but I really wish theyd make the experience easier and the atmosphere more fun.

There were gnats everywhere, I sat down and got at least 4 landing on and around me it was an endless barrage of small bugs. My girlfriend and I were trying to celebrate our anniversary and thankfully the food was decent I didn t realize birria meat was supposed to be flavorless and relentlessly fatty but maybe that s on me, thankfully I didn t have to worry about the food nearly as much as playing gnat whack a mole in the middle of the restaurant. I watched a group of women get up and move tables because of the gnats and then get swarmed once again. Maybe this is a regular thing, maybe it was just today but either way I know I will never be back and will recommend that no other living human enters this forever swarm of a restaurant . Our server was wonderful thankfully but we were only there for maybe 20-30 minutes before leaving specifically because of the small bugs trying to burrow themselves into all food on our table.

We couldnt really eat. There were so many gnats! A family behind us had to move for the same reason. We moved after them. And there was still gnats. We killed 10 of them and still had some get in our food. We payed for our food and left. Unfortunately, we wont be going back. Please call an exterminator or someone to fix this problem.

The staff are extremely welcoming and bring a very homey vibe. Food was brought out within 10 minutes ( I think closer to 5 minutes but dont know exactly). Everything tasted amazing, seasoned to perfection. You wont regret it...... Hopefully.

First they brought the wrong meal. We only saw our waitress twice. After eating we waited 20 minutes for our ticket ( after asking several different servers to go get our waitress). Then we asked for a receipt and it took another 10 minutes to get a receipt!

Horrible service! Not only did they mess up our order, but I couldnt wait for them to fix it. My family was done eating and I still never received my food. Tha manager decided to adjust the bill and only take off what I didnt receive!! He ended up giving a gift card after I had to express how angry and irritated I was. Our waitress barely paid attention to us, but definitely paid attention to all the other tables around us. I wont even get to spend the gift card because I wont ever go back!!

I m very disappointed. I had been looking forward to trying this place and I won t be back. The service was awful and the food was awful. We saw the server maybe four times the whole hour we were there. No drink refills, she did not check if the food was good and after we were done eating we waited over 15 minutes for the check. I got the Gringo nachos and they were mid at best. The ground beef and beans tasted like it was cooked days ago and the flavor was odd. The asada cheese fries were not good. The meat was overcooked and flavorless and the cheese was overcooked and rubbery.

Worst fajitas in Amarillo! I ordered the diablo combination fajita plate and it had 2 pieces of chicken 2 pieces of steak and a pile of vegetables, you should be ashamed. I guess if your looking to fill up on a plate of vegetables this is your place for fajitas, but if your a carnivar dont bother. Youll be angry that you spent your hard earned money at this establishment! Im not looking to be a vegetarian

Ordered carry out a few weeks before a large party happening on April 1st. Specifically stated I need 3 containers of 3 different enchiladas. Picked it up and half of the 3 containers were full of lettuce and tomatoes. I was not happy at all. Manager did not offer to fix the problem. I accidentally knocked the machine my card was in to pay onto the floor removing my card. I was accused of assaulting the manager. The hostess was laughing and some woman threatened to call the police on me. I was told that CadaVez figures 2 enchiladas per person, well they never met my group. I was not told this. I ran out of enchiladas but fortunately made meat for tacos at home. Needless to say, we won t go back there. Sad, because we frequented that restaurant.

Stopped in tonight for the first time. What a cozy atmosphere and inviting location for dinner. With a friendly greeting and some superb assistance from Alyssa, our server, I settled on the Birria tacos. I was not disappointed. I m looking forward to dining there again. My husband and I used to go Cadavez twice a month. We came back recently and very disappointed with quality of food and service. The restaurant go down hill. They service tap water now. The food portion is smaller and smaller. I request crunch shell for my Al pastor taco but the taco shell is not crunchy at all and oily. Definitely will not come back.

This is not the place to go if you want authentic Mexican food. The service was very quick and good. Our server was polite and accommodating of food allergy concern and took away our empty dishes and refilled our drinks right away. The food was average to bland overall. The chicken was a little dry and bland and the carne asada passable. I did not like the queso, it tasted like it was American cheese-based but the salsa was pretty good. The birria eggrolls were good but obviously not made fresh as they could not be made without onion. The sides were also average. I assumed the papas would be rounds, not mashed. The atmosphere was loud, good for families but not a date night as the many TVs can be distracting.

Great experience, we held a birthday party for my favorite Ethan nephew there. Great atmosphere, server did an excellent job. Food was good but a little bit pricey but was worth it. Plenty of Dallas Cowboys aficionados and it was an excellent time. I definitely recommend it.

Easily the best Mexican food in SW Amarillo, if not the entire city, hands down. November 2023 Atmosphere is welcoming and sincerely friendly, and the restaurant was not too loud or pretentious. There seemed to be plenty of room and space between tables. The industrially-inspired brick and natural wood interior design choices struck me as warm, but without being too imposing, too austere, or too rustic. The lighting was not over or under-stated. Just, a nice place and experience overall. The food: Starting with the chips, they were seasoned perfectly and evenly and had the perfect crisp texture. Salsa is also well seasoned, and a good texture. Not watered down, not too spicy, but what seemed to be too be the perfect balance. I had the #8 combination plate with relleno & stuffed avocado. I had chicken on the relleno, with sour cream sauce, and gladly accepted the $2 upcharge to make it crispy. The shredded chicken was juicy, again perfectly seasoned and had a satisfying flavor from start to finish. We believe it is smoked. Crispy Relleno texture and cheese filling choice were amazing. Stuffed avocado, which I ordered with beef, with queso sauce was also notably good. The cheese choices on it were perfectly balanced and nothing seemed overdone. Barbacoa - This is what really shines. Foodie date said theyd never had such good shredded beef. It truly did melt in the mouth. In fact, it may ruin all other shredded beef barbacoa for you, forever. Think of the best shredded beef youve ever had. Ours we got was better. Sides: Papas had a constant, great flavor throughout. Best in town. Mexican street corn is as good as youd expect. Equally every bit as good as from a food truck. Mexican rice - the only thing that didnt absolutely surprise me on how good it was. But definitely not bad. I prefer a slight firm rice texture. Not over-seasoned with cumin like many places. Substantive and not too fluffy or mushy. Fried ice cream: great flavor, fun crispy texture, with natural whipped cream with what seemed like a chocolate mousse sauce drizzle, likely made in-house. Prices excellent, affordable and fair. Currently truly around $15 a dinner plate, even for combinations. Service was attentive and friendly. We never felt forgotten or under attended. Eat here. You wont regret it if your experience is anything close to ours.

If I could give no stars for service I would! The waiter we had acted like he didn t even care about us. He never refilled my water. He was more concerned about the tables with more people! Unfortunately we never got our food as we waited so long we had to leave and just pay for the drinks. They said that the reason it was taking forever was because the wifi kept crashing and so the back kitchen wasn t able to see any orders? (And the music kept turning off and it was an awkward atmosphere lol) The waitress was really nice though, seemed frustrated as apparently it was happing all week. Seems like they need better management and better wifi if that s the way their workflow goes.

We waited a long time to get service. Workers kept walking past our table, and they were standing around in the front just talking. We were about to leave when one of the waitresses noticed us just sitting there. She went to the front and asked them if anyone had taken our order and they just looked lost. She came over and apologized and said she would serve us. Very nice, attentive young lady. I wish I had remembered her name because she really was an outstanding server. The food was good.

For anyone who saw my recent review I have to eat my words because the general manager himself saw my review and took it upon himself to look up my order and see what happened and then called me personally to fix it. Most people would not do that and I thank Miguel very much for immediately correcting a mistake that was made. I am giving them 4 stars for the service. The waiter was awesome. I had a chicken fajita quesadilla. It was mostly cheese and tortilla with very little flavor. We had queso which was pretty basic. The best thing I had was the chips and hot sauce. The food is pretty pricey for the lack of flavor. I will try a different dish next time and will update my review.

The outdoor Patio was very romantic, I would recommend bringing a light jacket for the ladies, my beautiful bride was a little chilly lol . But still 5 STARS. Great food!

We love this place, its our local go-to for Tex mex/ Mexican. The Birria tacos are amazing, and they have the best fajitas in town! The kids love the game room, and my husband and I love the michaladas! Service is always solid, theres always a manager walking the floor and checking on guests, and the food comes quickly. Definitely recommend!! Kid-friendliness: Game room area, good kids menu

This place is different from other Mexican restaurants I have been to many but that makes the difference tremendous service, everything very fresh and to the point Parking: If you go on a weekday it is easy to find parking but on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays it is difficult since this restaurant is located near the cinema and an apartment area.

We frequent this place all the time, but this incident grossed me out so much, I had to write a review. The food was blah, and my wine was served in a glass full of bubbles. It smelled like dishwater. I sent it back and saw what the bartender had been doing. She was washing it in the soap water and then the rinse water without wiping it down. When I sent it back I could tell she had an attitude about it. Washed it again the same way, then wiped the inside. The server (who was good and attentive) brought me back the glass and it had no bubbles and smelled better. I did not order any more wine for the rest of the dinner. Just gross.

I had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce... wasnt that flavorful, the charro beans were bland. I would go back to try something else. It was too cold in there. The waitress was really not that friendly,...we had to ask for a refill on chips twice and didnt bring out extra dressing for a salad until much later. She never said, thank you or youre welcome.

The food was very good. I tried the chanclas appetizer for the name alone (they were jalapeños split and filled with cheese and carne asada and wrapped in bacon) and the southwestern enchiladas, which were very good. Our partys waitress, Mary, was very attentive and personable.

This place is now my favorite Mexican food restaurant in Amarillo. The food was amazing, the service was incredible and my whole experience was great! I had the Mexican doughnuts for dessert and well and I highly recommend them!

Absolutely great, the chips and salsa were so good I forgot to take a picture of it, the red sauce beef enchilada plate with papas y charro beans was excellent! Will definitely be coming back. (The Mexican doughnuts were also very good!)
