Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review. I usually come here first if I fly in late. Probably wont again. When Slims is good, I put them up against any other fried chicken place. This ones been good in the past, but tonight was disappointing. I got a 4 tender meal with cayenne ranch. Waited way longer than normal. The guy brought my bag out and said we had to leave as it was 10. OK fine. I get outside, open the box chicken is hot, and oily. Definitely overcooked. Thr fries were OK. I take a bite of the texas toast. Its like stale bread from the back of somebodies cupboard. Inedible does not describe it. They had to work extra hard to put something that bad in a meal. The staff obviously was irritated that 3 or 4 groups came in at 9:45. This didnt feel like the Slim Chickens Im used to.

In the beginning, slims made chicken and lemonade. But the chicken was void, formless, and without shape. So slims said, Let there be sauce, and there was sauce. He saw that the sauce was good, and he separated the Buffalo from the Ranch. Then he said, Let the noodle water be separated from the noodles so the Mac and the Cheese may gather in one place. And it was so. Slim saw the Mac&cheese and that it was good. Thus, Slim added the chicken to the mac&cheese and added the Buffalo sauce to them and made them one. After it was done, Slim saw the Buffalo Mac&cheese Chicken bowl and said, It is good

Sigh......I absolutely love Slim Chickens, but I was let down during my last encounter. Since discovering the tender Mac bowls.....I cant try anything else >< This one served me less than room temped Mac and cheese in that bowl with an older tender. Her meal of tenders/fries were on point and fresh as hell. Im sad yall did me dirty....Ill be going to other stores vs. you.

Friendly and happy faces but the food is terrible. If I want leftovers or cold food I can eat at home. I like my food to be fresh not lukewarm or food that has been sitting for a few hours or so. This use to be my favorite place to eat

I ordered buffalo wings and the sauce had no kick and didnt taste like any buffalo sauce I had ever had. Wings and slims sauce were flavorless. Fries were not fresh. Big Dill sandwich was ok but the chicken was dry and a little tough. Milkshake was good. Toast was good.

The lady name tag said Amber at the register was VERY rude. She slammed our food on the table when she walked it out to us and when we asked which plate was which she walked away, she got loud with other customers and pointed to the sauces on the wall when they asked what kind of sauces they had, kept starring and making ugly faces at our group. On the other hand, the food was amazing! The food came out hot and tasted wonderful!

Stopped by for the nearby Tesla Supercharger station. I ordered chicken wings this time, and they were so yummy. The staff presented a friendly smile and so helpful. The bathroom was clean and organized. I will come back again.

We went last night around 7:30 and the girl working the drive through had the worst attitude! I understand if it s busy and you re tired but there s no reason to be rude to anyone. She didn t even great us she just said give me a minute when we pulled up. Rushed us through the ordering process and then once we got to the window she didn t say anything just the price and took my card. She started shoving me my stuff and again didn t say a single word the whole time. It made me honestly not want to go back. I told her have a good day and she shut the window in my face. Probably won t be back for awhile because of her.

First time visiting a slim chickens - Justin took our order, he was kind, patient, and went over the top for great service. There was plenty of seating and employees were promptly cleaning tables after other customers left. Service is always decently fast and friendly. Clean restrooms and nice dining area. Great selection of chicken strips, sandwiches, wraps, and many great sauces. Definitely recommend trying the cayenne ranch. Very good food! Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs available. Went thru the drive thru. Ordered a 7 piece meal. Got 2 tenders and did not give a receipt in the bag. It was late and had spent 8 hours on the road so did not think to check. Stay away from here. Would not answer the phone even though it wasnt quite 10. **Update, they got my message and delivered fresh cook meal to the motel. That was an awesome recovery.

Fist time cisiting the place. Well I came up into the drive through and ordered. I asked for a cup of the dry seasoning on the side. She told me we can certainly put it on your chicken but cant put it on the side I mentioned that when I do that at BDubs they just put it in a cup. She says in a bothered tone...Im sure we cant but Ill ask...go ahead and pull up when she gave me my food she scolded me and told me that they would do it this one time but would not be able to next time I just told her...oh dont worry there wont be a next time but thanks horrible service, the chicken wings were very dray and tasteless and turns put I didnt even like the dry rub stuff. I stopped by here every once in awhile. When my credit card was missing it was handy to be able to order online and just pick it up. Also since they are open till 10:00 or so it meant I could stop by here after other activities if they lasted late and I was hungry. I usually just get the kids meal for about 5 bucks. The price is varied because prices are going up everywhere but its still running around 5:00 or $6. It includes two sides. Ive eaten it in the car and Ive eaten it inside. Also if you sign up for their app and rewards program you get emails or texts about specials so I have gotten them a couple times to save money like a chicken and waffles or three-piece chicken dinner type combo. It makes for a cheap meal when youre on a budget. The girls at the cashier counter I usually very friendly and pleasant.

Do not go here if it is after 10pm!!!! These workers don t care about what they give you even tho you paid a Arm for it!!! Went last night 1/2/23 about 10pm (drive thru) we literally ordered meals and all the chicken tenders were old hard and burnt (Not even joking) and didn t find out till we got home and we live about 10min away. they even gave us extra old dry and burnt chicken in each meal!!! Probably because they were trying to get rid of what they had left.. the fries were cold hard and dry like they had been sitting out all day.. Nothing was a bit warm!!! The Chick Meal was amazing and the complimentary Strawberry Cheesecake in a Jar was an unexpected addition. This place has come a long way. 2 years ago the place would ve been dirty and flies everywhere. Now, it s clean. I will say that they can get overwhelmed, a lot of the people working there seem to be younger kids, but what sets this place apart from most of the other fast food places is that the managers ALWAYS are out talking to customers or they re helping expedite food or run registers. Nobody wants to wait for food when they re hungry, but I can certainly handle it when you can see how hard these folks are working

Ok guys lets hear it for Slim Chickens I LOVED IT The kind human that helped us, greeted us with a smile and was eager to answer all our questions. The chicken strips were AMAZING, & they have every dipping sauce you could want. The unexpected yummy chocolate cheesecake in a mason jar was FANTASTIC! (& You know how us southerners love our mason jars ) The price of the food was well worth it. Drinks, food and dessert for 3 was $38.00ish. Definitely out new favorite chicken place.

This was our first time eating at a Slim Chickens. It wont be our last. Weve seen a few in our neck of the woods but had not yet made our maiden voyage. We were on our way back into town and decided to try one in Amarillo. Delicious! The service at this location was perfect. The young lady that took our order, brought us our food, checked on us and helped us clean up. Talk about doing a complete job. Shame on me for not asking her name so I could give her personal props. The restaurant was clean and I loved the decor. Cool guitars. We will search out the locations closer to home and give them a try. But the next time were in Amarillo, we know where were stopping.

Regular fast food restaurant decor. Service was good. I got the 5 piece chicken strips. Very good, juicy crispy. I really liked them . The fries were good and crispy. The garlic toast is great. My dipping sauces were blue cheese (very tangy) but good . And gravy. My wife had the bbq wings, really good sauce, pretty sweet. She ordered all flats pretty good-sized wings. So, here is the thing. When Slim Chickens first opened in Amarillo, the chicken tenders were thicker and juicy. Now, a lot thinner. And this isnt one trip, its been several. But that wasnt enough to upset me. It didnt bother me that you switched your large plastic cups for styrofoam. But making the dessert jars smaller? Cmon man! Thats a bridge too far. Look. I enjoy your food. I do. But incrementally giving your customers less, charging ever more is no bueno. I get there is a bottom line, but saving 3 bites worth of dessert AND charging more? Not cool. The strawberry jar is really good. Wish I had 3 more bites.

This place use to be amazing and I would always order the chicken and waffles and fried mushrooms... sad to say I will no longer be going. Why get rid of a menu item that yall were known for?? Chicken and waffles. Bad business decision and no more friend mushrooms really? Not very many places actually serve fried mushrooms and my family members would always go to slims for their fried mushrooms. The owners must not be very smart folks so I dont see this place lasting much longer here.

The fried okra was freshly made and hand battered and fried extra crispy like I asked. The fries are good, coleslaw was ok but the chicken was really good. Overall great food. Only complaint was the bathroom was heavily scented which wasnt the bad part. It was when you sit down to use the facilities you were closer to floor and it smelled like they mopped the floor with sewer water. Really disgusting. Hence the heavy air freshener.

Joy B was so amazing she was a nice friendly smile customer service was great! food was excellent! Came out Hot and Fresh got the 3 wings and 3 tender meal got full and even had some to take home for later, will definitely be back to try the chicken sandwiches and desert jars!
