We went the Butterfly release and it was amazing! It wasnt to hot, flowers were blossoming everywhere, lots of small local businesses to support and they gave us our own individual Painted Ladies to release!

An amazing garden, nestled in the city, the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the wonders of Gods creation. The garden is broken up into sections like a butterfly garden, desert garden, rose garden, vegetable garden - including a gourd tunnel, a Japanese garden with waterfall and water lilies and a tropical conservatory. Each area is beautifully maintained and has art or hard scape to compliment it. This visit was truly what I needed!

Being in management at a large Botanical Garden myself, I am biased when visiting other gardens. But not this one. Even though it is small, I was blown away at how well put together and beautiful it was. I saw plants that i had never seen before ( which is rare), and some of the displays were outstanding. My favorite was the conservatory and the butterfly garden. I will definitely be visiting again when i come through this area again. Good job, guys !!!

They have a most excellent Gourdwalk which is a brilliant must-see. Pretty pricey, $8 for a short stroll. If you live in the area I would suggest an annual membership, it is worth it to sneak away into a vibrant oasis. great place for picnics or even to do some schoolwork. Stunning bathrooms Visited on Weekend

It wasnt as big as I expected but gosh, the size of their blooms more than made up for the size of the gardens! The fish pond was full of beautiful koi fish which you can feed with food from the ticket booth. They offer two kinds of fish food which are $1/bag. The one was also very well shaded so it was a comfy visit and honestly, my favorite part of the place. We ventured into the indoor sanctuary and although small and a little overgrown, it turned out quite pleasant still. All in all, a neat little place to get lost in, when it isnt overrun with weddings.

The Botanical Gardens was the perfect venue for our wedding. The grounds were gorgeous, they set up and took down all of the table and chairs, and made my wedding day absolutely perfect. Brooke was so pleasant to work with and made sure everything was ready to go. I would recommend the gardens to anyone who is looking to get married in the panhandle. Perfect venue with gorgeous flowers all around.

Tranquil, quiet and restful. Level, free parking and convenient to highway and the medical district. Walking path, park and splash pad abut the gardens. Highly recommend visiting!!

Visiting the Botanical Garden in Amarillo was a truly beautiful experience. The garden was in full bloom with a dazzling array of flowers that made the entire place come alive. It s a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, as you can comfortably explore everything in about two hours. One of the highlights was the tropical flower section, which transported me back home with its vibrant and exotic blooms. However, I was saddened to see a parrot confined in a very small cage; it seemed out of place in such a serene environment. On a brighter note, I was delighted to encounter a golden crested pheasant with its mate and chick, adding a touch of wildlife charm to the garden. The presence of two striking ringed ducks and the serene koi pond in the Japanese-style garden further enhanced the tranquil atmosphere. Given the limited activities in Amarillo, the Botanical Garden was a pleasant surprise. Its a serene oasis worth visiting, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the city s hustle and bustle.

Its end of May and well I know it gets hotter and thats understandable but plants need more water so a water system is highly needed for some sections. Also told the ticketing lady that theres a parrot that needed food and water and said that there was nothing she could do because the people that feed them was off so the bird is left with no water and no food so I was left disappointed about that anwer.

It was such a beautiful place and Im glad I visited, but if Im being honest, they had not one but two gas powered leaf blowers going while paid customers were walking through their gardens, in my opinion that is ridiculous. I was just getting ready to walk into the Japanese gardens, which is a place of zen and relaxation, not here, obviously. I had to wait 15 minutes until the leaf blowers were done I know it is spring cleanup time but just a thought, maybe that 15 minutes of leaf blowing can be done before they open and not while customers are trying to enjoy their gardens, that they are charging admission for. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to these gardens due to poor management.

$8/person is steep for what you re getting. i only got pictures inside the tropical greenhouse because this is really the best part of the gardens. pretty and thriving plants and a waterfall. so beautiful. the rest of the grounds were lacking pretty significantly. i ve been to a lot of botanical gardens and this was a let down. really needs more plaques with plant information throughout. would loved to have seen a better native american representation throughout the garden. there are 3 birds in the indoor section in small cages which i can t get behind either. we only spent about 20 minutes here and saw everything.

My preschooler and I stopped by after a doctors appointment and even though its still winter and one would think there wouldnt be much to see, there was. The conservatory is beautiful all year round and theyve even changed the conservatory pond since the last time I was there and now its home to the two cutest, most well behaved ducks youve ever had the nursery rhyme vibe fortune to meet the torii gate leading to the pagoda and the Koi pond was a hit with us for sure as well. Even more so though than all the wonderful things we could see on our own, Nathan was an absolute gem. We cane across him while he was tending to the (his!) vegetable garden near the back. He was a fountain of knowledge and good vibes. He gave us a tour of what was and what was to come this year in the Veggie gardens and even took us back into the conservatory to show us the edible plants in there that wed missed on our own before. Well be back for sure... It was an absolute heckuva delightful weekday morning thanks, yall

Beautiful gardens with a variety of plants and flowers to see, but without a map of how things are arranged or what areas are off limits, it makes back tracking part of the experience. The maintenance paths should be clearly marked, especially around the vegetable garden area, and dead-end paths seem strange in a circular garden. Most of the plants and flowers were not marked, so a good map could help with that as well. Overall, it was worth the visit, but for the $8 adult price, some people may want it to take more than 60-90 minutes to see everything. They do offer a free military service discount, so that is a positive.
