Front desk is very aggressive and does not care what patient is trying to say. They want to collect the fee upfront even my deductible was met. I don t prefer this clinic.

I m writing into express express my ongoing concern regarding a matter that has yet to be addressed. Over a month ago during my appointment with Dr. Modi I was informed that he would provide recommendations for a specific vitamin and supplement brands. Despite my repeated attempts to follow up via other patient portal and through phone calls to the office I have yet to receive these recommendations. I was advised that my inquiry would be processed in the rate was received, and I should expect a response within 48 hours. I ve sent a message on September 12 today is September 17. I still don t have any response each time I call the office I m told that I am not only the patient that my only opinion is to book another appointment. This has been frustrating, especially since the patient portal seems to be used mainly for posting results rather than addressing patient inquiries. It s important for me to receive the supplement recommendations as soon as possible especially given my adherence to a specific diet prescribed by Dietitian.

The worst hospital experience ever I had in my 9 years of life in US. I never seen this type of staff in any other hospital. They all definitely dont like the job that they are doing. If you want to ruin your day then go here. After waiting around 40mins I asked front desk, when the doctor will be coming. The simply said that they dont know. After 30more minutes I told them I want to leave. Then the doctor came out after the lady informed him that the patient wants to leave. Then he said it will just take 2 or 3 minutes to check. I said I want to leave, took my refund and came out from that place. I think the doctor may be good, but he definitely needs new staff. Apart from what all happened, I never heard the word sorry from any one of them, not even the doctor.

My husband and I have been Dr. Parihar s patients since 2018 he is very caring he listens and has been the best Dr to us. Staff is kind. And very helpful and very nice. I wanna say Thank for reaching out to me when you found out about the passing of my husband. I will never forget how caring you are, you re such a good Doctor.

Dear Dr. Parihart, I am disheartened to learn that I have been discharged as your patient. I was a patient here Over 6 years, you have provided my family and me with exceptional care. I have referred more than 21 friends and family members to your practice, as I have always had complete trust in your abilities. However, I received notice of my discharge without any explanation until 4/4/2024 during a check up visit for my youngest daughter, and I feel it is only fair for you to inform me of what went wrong. The the reckless office manager gave me a letter dated 3/13/2024. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the mistreatment I have experienced from your staff in the past two days. The only individuals who have been consistent in their professionalism and kindness are yourself and the lab lady. The NP is awesome and the medical assistant have helped me numerous of times. Today, I was scheduled for an appointment but was not allowed to be seen. Had I known it was cancelled I would have never came. I was even threatened with the involvement of the police if I did not leave immediately. This experience has left me feeling low and helpless, with tears in my eyes. As you mentioned that you are still my doctor until the 20th, I kindly request a final visit and a refill for all my needed medication a three-month supply of medication will be Optum. Once I find a new doctor, I will request the transfer of my familys and my medical files. I want to assure you that you have been the best doctor I have ever had, and I only wish I had the opportunity to defend myself against the person who deceived you.

Update since my last review. We had health check up scheduled for the family for 3/23 which was unilaterally cancelled my them because I wrote a review. Not only that, once again they have over charged me ( yes a third invoice!!!!). This is a general practice here. If you don t notice, it goes in their pocket. Now I have to follow up. If there is any lawyer out there willing to take this, happy to sue them. Also, I reached out to the doctor. Dr Parihar asked me to find another provider! So instead of addressing the issue, they are acting arrogant. I am shocked by this behavior. Stay away from them. The whole office seems to be teaming up, focused on making money versus providing quality health services! I wouldn t ever go to this clinic again. I will be lawyering up to sue them. 1) They over charge. As soon as you enter the clinic, they will ask you to pay flat $116.89 without even asking the issue. After they raise the claim to the insurance company, the amount is always lower than what they have already taken. They will never tell you that they have over charged and will never return the money. 2) They will always charge you for the doctor and have a nurse practitioner see you. We visited this clinic at least 3 times in the past three months and have never seen a glimpse of the doctor!!!

The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming, the nurse who took me back was also very kind and the Dr was amazing! Dr Dee is absolutely someone who truly listened to me and made me feel heard. I waited close to 2 hours to be seen by a doctor and requested a refund which is when I was attended by a doctor. There was no introduction by the doctor and was asked Are you mad at me? I hear you re mad at me. I explained that I ve been waiting and would like to get the medical attention I need and paid for which I wasn t being given. He explained that there was a shortage in doctors which I can understand if staff had relayed information regarding wait time. The appointment was a matter of 5 minutes in which I continued to ask questions because I wasn t being given much information about the diagnosis, preventative care, treatment recommendations for me to get the clarification I need. During the 5 minute appointment, a staff interrupted the appointment to come in to ask about another patients order/scripts. Overall, the experience was very unpleasant and uncomfortable especially for medical concerns.

They will charge you same amount as doctors visit just to speak with the nurse practitioner. Follow up tele visit is another appointment which has to be paid, this could have been a 5 minute phone call. 5 minute follow up following a blood work is another paid appointment. Waited an hour for the doctor to come in to tell me what was already on my mri results. Guess what, that was another appointment charge. Each appointment will cost you. Each call will cost you. This has been the worst PCP experience til date and I will be changing my provider.

Dr. Modi and the NP Darshna are both kind and spend time listening to you and I give a lot of props to both. I called today because a family member had a cough for few weeks and I suspected if she also had wheezing. No fever, tested for covid multiple times and was negative , told them that too . They flatly told me with this symptom they would only do tele visits. I finally went to an urgent care and the doc there listened to her lungs and gave her the medications. If you don t want see a person that has a cough in the clinic, then sorry , this is not the doctors , I want to stay with. Bye Bye, Also the front desk admin team needs training on how to be courteous .

Dr Parihar is a good doctor, and he is well versed in his field. But lately his office s professionalism and organization is lacking immensely. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this clinic today, in particular with the staff. Despite having a scheduled appointment, Dr. Parihar either intentionally or unintentionally skipped me. I think it wasn t communicated to him that I was waiting in the room, and he attended to patients with appointment times after that of mine, per one of the nurses. I ended up waiting for almost an hour and a half just to see Dr.Parihar. The lack of respect for my time and disregard for proper appointment order was unprofessional and unacceptable. I hope the acknowledged issues are resolved immediately, otherwise continuing attending this clinic would be nonsensical!

[Reposting my review on 11/14/2023]. Front office is exactly same, unprofessional and often forget to send prescriptions to pharmacy. Doctors are great but front desk is really bad. They simply dont pick up phone. You can leave the voice msg but they do not act on it. Normal waiting time for a refill is 48 hrs. However, I will still go to Express Clinic because DRs are good.

TL/DR: Express, as the name implies, means expensive and rushed. I had a virtual consult with Dr. Parihar (out of convenience - he was who was available) in which I just needed two pieces of paper. To establish this care costed $200. I do not know how much it costs now. I unfortunately only received half of what I asked for even after following up later that day. I recently offered to have another virtual visit to remedy the situation as I do not live close to the clinic. I was told no, Id have to schedule an in-person appt, and if I have a problem w/ that, seek care elsewhere. As someone who works with people, I know it can be frustrating, but never in a million years would I have talked to a client like that.

Visited as New patient for Ribs injuri and doctor suggested to have xray. While xray report outcome I asked as report goes to doctor who order then medical staff said again charge[copay] to know/discuss report outcome. As its same cause and initially dr said he will call to discuss report outcome then also staff asking another appointment and copay which is not I feel its correct. Now if prescribed medicin no suits then also for everything I should pay copay then its not good for me....

Nurse is extremely rude. Told me we aren t going to do a check up because you are sick and if we had known you had sick symptoms we wouldn t have even let you in the building then asked to collect my expensive payment. The doctor eventually took care of me but I will not be going back and highly advise people to stay away from This clinic specifically because of this staff member. If you are a new patient, like I was, the office process should be explained kindly before the appointment. Not rudely while you re forced to wear a mask in the small clinic exam room. Absolutely terrible experience.

Had an online appt that was booked through ZocDoc for 9:45am. Dr never showed, office never reached out. When I called the office, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, so I hung up and called back. I asked about my online appointment, and the receptionist informed me that since Im a new patient being seen for my specific issue, it had to have been in person. There is no disclaimer about new patients having to be seen in person on the MDs profile, and this MD isnt local. Complete waste of time for a time sensitive issue. Edit: Nice try- blood pressure medications arent controlled.

This review in particular is for Darshna Shahiwala, NP. I am not a person who leaves reviews, but in this instance, I had to. I have been a patient of Express Family Clinic for a few years now and have had great experiences with the Dr. Modi and previously Dr. Sobia. I called needing to get in last minute for some bloodwork. I will fully admit I was hesitant to take the first appointment offered as I previously had poor experiences with finding new providers and you just dont want to risk anything when you just want to know whats wrong with you. Within a few minutes of Darshna introducing herself, my mind was set at ease. She was so kind, knowledgeable and informative. She took all of my concerns very seriously and ordered a full panel to ensure that no stone was left unturned to find me answers as to why I m experiencing these concerning symptoms. Being listened to and heard was incredible, and she provided so much insight right off the bat that made sense. I was scheduled for a visit to a new gyno the next day for another concern, but Darshna mentioned in passing that she does well women s visits as well. I was obviously not looking forward to seeing a new provider for such a personal visit. I immediately asked if I could schedule mine with her and she said of course but if I am already scheduled with a specialist, she encouraged me to keep my appointment. However, if I was uncomfortable that she was happy to do it herself. I scheduled this for the next morning. Darshna was beyond compassionate and patient with me and the time she spent ensuring that I was comfortable was invaluable. The reassurance I received from her was something I have been lacking in so many previous providers. Not only that? Once my lab results were in, I received a message from Darshna reviewing my bloodwork on a SUNDAY. Talk about making sure she put my mind at ease. Obviously I would never expect that (and neither should anyone else because everyone deserves days off). Anyways, the nurse called me on Monday to ensure I received the results, I asked if she would ask a question for me and said I didn t mind just being sent a message in the portal so as to not take up too much time. I actually received a personal phone call from Darshna herself on Tuesday. She took the time to re-review the results she messaged me, answered the additional questions I had AND gave me a game plan to go with. She never rushed me or made me feel like I was wasting her time. She may have just been going about her workday as usual, but to me it was above and beyond. If you re looking for a provider that is serious about patient CARE, do yourself a favor and schedule a visit with Darshna. I am so glad I did.

Dr Modi is great! I got exactly what I needed out of an appointment and found it very easy to set up and schedule, response times are always quick. Insurance and payment all went smoothly. My only complaint was my first visit required quite a bit of waiting (30-40 minutes) between the waiting room and the doctors office after getting my vitals checked. Id recommend this place and Dr. Modi to anyone looking for quick, efficient, and effective medical care

This review is specifically for my experience with Dr. Sobia Yaqub, MD at Express Family Clinic. My appt was in Oct of 2021. As soon as I left my appt I was in tears in my car for 15 mins before I felt like I could drive safely. Her answer for everything was have children when I explicitly said that I did not want children, it also very much left an impression of I dont want to help you. Her bedside manner was horrible and I would not recommend her to anyone looking for GYNO help.

Terrible front office service. Be mindful of spending 2 hrs in the clinic. Seems everyone was busy and they make you wait. Their website is not updated since covid and link mentions to wait in the car after arrival. When i called the clinic they said no need to wait in the car for the appointment .wasted 35 min and soend teo hrs in the clinic for annuals in the afternoon. Its been 11 days since my appointment, and im still waiting for the lab results. Front office person said doctor have to write comments. Poor service and response!

Utterly unprofessional and horrendous billing charges for a teleappt. Where I have paid a nominal amount with another doctor they are charging more than $200 which is really insane. Unlike other practices who tell the amount you will owe after insurance upfront, they sent me a bill after 3 months. A tele consultation for cold, I never fathomed I will have to pay this ridiculous amount. Its a total fraud. I am giving 1-star only because I cannot post it without a star. Their wait times are crazy too. I would absolutely not recommend it to anyone.

People in this clinic are thieves. They ADVERTISED an OBGYN doctor in their clinic, I CALLED to make sure they in fact did have an OBGYN to which they said yes and again when I showed up they verbally CONFIRMED with me to my face that they had a practicing OBGYN. As soon as I get to see the doctor she lets me know she will be referring me to an actual OBGYN because she was in fact NOT AN OBGYN. they falsely advertised this to me and after the doctor told me they will be refunding me the money because they FALSELY ADVERTISED OBGYN the front desk girl which is extremely rude kept telling me they will not be doing that and cant even get the manager to return my calls no matter how many times I ask for her!!!!

I was there to see a doctor back in October. It was for my annual but they mistakenly charged me $200 for it. Later said they will issue a refund. Been few months, never got my refund. Called and emailed them several times but they never answer. I once was able to speak to someone and she said my insurance rejected the claim but I checked with my insurance company and they approved the claim. I have proof they were paid for my visit. These guys are fraud. They knew insurance company approved my claim yet lied to me and would not issue a refund. Its only for $200 but they cannot get away by lying and robbing customers.

Very unprofessional and bad communication. Wait time is horrible . Doctor does not have time for 2 mins after waiting for 1.5 hours. For prescription order, Doctor says nurse has placed the order with pharmacy and Nurse says Doctor. We had this for 2 days. Scan results came on Thursday but Nurse said Doctor yet to read . We had to wait till Monday. When we checked with Doctor on Monday (after again waiting for 1 hr), she said she had informed nurse.

Been going here for years. Must schedule appt for refills, every 3-6 mos. Dr Modi is very friendly and cares about overall health and well being. Note- website will book you as late as 4:45 but they stop seeing patients before 4pm. Got there on time at 4:45, after a confirmation text at 2:45pm that day, and they said they called to reschedule (no missed calls), then that they left a message (didn t have any from today or yesterday), and then they kindly rescheduled me. Overall good office for medical care, just some service hiccups - probably due to the pandemic.

TERRIBLE! After a Tele-doc appointment, we were told to come in at 8:30am the next day for a rapid Covid test. Once we arrived, we were informed the test would take 2-3 days for results. Decent medical guidance from Dr Parihar, but absolutely horrible time management and super long wait times. Waited about 45 minutes in person for first visit, then waited over hour and half for virtual visit, even after calling the office multiple times. Extremely unprofessional and by no means are they an express clinic.

Waiting time is very long . They give patients appointments back to back . So if one patient is few minutes late other patients will be late obviously. I waited 45 minutes to get to see doctor. And it is not one time issue . It happens regularly. Another time was 1 hr. Also the office is not clean . The waiting room is small and too many people wait there congested situations. Specially in Covid situation it feels unsafe . The waiting room shows doctors have best on time doctors award . That is a ridiculous thing as they are never on time . Avoid this place if possible. Also front desk staffs are rude and unprofessional.

Struggled to get refill on needed medication from doctor for my son; its taken over a week, with NO RESPONSE. Both myself and my pharmacy called and left messages. Finally talked to someone who is submitting the REQUEST and it can still take 48-72 hours...and my son has been suffering for OVER A WEEK. Pharmacy has faxed multiple times; has called and left message. I have called and left message with no response. Will be finding another doctor, as this is unacceptable. Doctor seemed knowledgable and helpful at appointment, but the way this office is run is utterly ridiculous. This should NOT happen.

I didn t eat all day because I had to do blood work, got there at 1:30 for my appointment and they said they can t see me because the doctor left. Over the phone I told them I have a new insurance and they said they can pull it up. When I got there they said they can t see me without the insurance card and I couldn t get hold of my insurance for the card. They are all over the place unfortunately.

I did my medical examination for my immigration application here and I would like to say why I chose express family clinic: 1. Fast and quick lab results in up to 5 business days only (other clinics said it would take 14 days) and my time was limited. 2. Reasonable prices and most probably the best I could get without insurance. 3. First time I called them I sensed how professional and friendly they are. That was before I even got there. The staff was very friendly and kind, nurses and doctor modi was extremely welcoming and caring, very humble and understanding. very happy that I came here, I had an excellent service and exceptional treatment.

we have a medicaid. and the insurance company led us to dr Sunil Modi. The doctors name was on the insurance card. We made an appointment for my wife. We waited 2 hours. When I reacted, the doctor came up with a computer in his hand. stayed with us for a total of 5 minutes. Were not working with medicaid, he said. So I said why the insurance company directed you to us. He said I was working in the past, now I am not working. and we got out of there. 1- We were waited for 2 hours. 2- He stayed with the doctor for 5 minutes at most. 3- He told us that he did not work with medicaid for 5 minutes. we lost almost three hours in total. The doctor stayed with us for only 5 minutes and the bill that came to us was $500. Shame !!! you will see this money in your dream. I will complain if this invoice comes to me again !!!

Had an appointment on Thursday morning at 9am and they told me to come fasting. Went there at exact 9am and told me oh your appointment we think might be with a tele doctor, then why the heck you told me come fasting! And it was verified that on the phone that the doctor will be there at 9am. She never showed up just wasted my whole day and made me fast for no reason. The reception lady though was very nice. Would not make an appointment again with them.

I choose Dr Parihar as my FP after my first appointment itself! He suggested annual medicals and results reported that I have issues. Later, Ms.Lulu followed me up till I get the appointment. Really appreciate for the concern! Dr Parihar also left a message to get the appointment as early as possible for treatment. Really felt very happy for the concern. He explains the problem and how it s being treated. Now I am under treatment and staying positive. I got annual medicals done for my wife too here... I am lucky to choose this clinic randomly from ZocDoc. Highly highly recommend this clinic. Dr. Pradeep was incredibly helpful and friendly and took time to figure out exactly what I needed. The front desk staff are absolutely lovely as well, special shout-out to Lulu for helping me figure out so many complicated details with pricing and my insurance! The staff really make you feel looked out for here. Only reason for 4/5 was the long wait time, but I think this isn t totally normal for them, it s just a crazy time between Christmas and New Years. Dr Parihar has been my my Wifes and my primary care doctor for about 3 years. He is not the typical doctor where you wait for an hour after you arrive, but he is always ON TIME! Very efficient from the start when making your appointment, sending reminders, checking in and checking out and up to date technology! I highly recommend retaining him as your primary doctor. Dr. Modi is an excellent physician, who takes his time, listens carefully, and also invests time in educating his patients with research in order to find solutions. His office runs a tight ship, when you schedule an appointment, you can expect to be seen on time, which in the North Dallas area is not terribly common. I would, and do, recommend him highly.
