WARNING: Do not eat at Lupe Tortilla if you value your health and money. My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years but over the past year, this place has gone downhill. Tonight, we spent $100 on a meal that could very well send my boyfriend to the hospital. The chicken was raw not undercooked, but RAW. My boyfriend, who was hungry, started eating before realizing, and now we are worried that he could get sick. This is beyond unacceptable its dangerous. The rest of the meal wasn t much better. The steak was awful, the queso had cold, unmelted clumps of cheese, and despite asking for extra onions and peppers, we didn t receive any. Clearly, no care or attention went into preparing this food. If my boyfriend becomes ill, we will be holding this restaurant accountable. Stay away from Lupe Tortilla unless you want to risk your health.

I love this place best fajitas in the game and the hatch chili menu is epic and amazing. I had an issue where the last three orders on DoorDash were missing my margaritas and when I called Danielle was super kind and made sure they were in the reorder and I couldn t ask for better service honestly. 10/10. If you haven t had their fajitas or green chili barbacoa tacos you re not living your best life!!! Not the cheapest but 1000% worth the price for the quality and customer service! Editing to say that the hatch menu is not available anymore till next season, but I visited in person today and they were more than amazing once again! Dietary restrictions: The spinach enchiladas with poblano sauce are epic Kid-friendliness: The kiddo in the booth next to me was having a ball saying I m doing really bad things huh momma!

They don t provide a good stuff they literally cheat people by asking are you coming here for first time and if they say yes then they charge you even more I ordered rice bowl they literally came with a sauce bowl size of rice and they charge me 2.99 for that and it s really 0.25 cost of rice

First time here and was extremely disappointed. I ordered their flour tortilla carnitas tacos. 1st, You can see right through the tortilla and both tacos fell apart. 2nd, the tacos were made so wrong, they add too much lettuce and a small portion of meat we also waiting quite a bit. Our server was too busy talking politics with the table next to us. We will not be back. If you want better food visit The Victoria restaurant in Farmers Branch or Tipico s in Carrollton.

Me and 2 of my staff come in to eat at the bar so we can get faster service. But we had to ask for everything. It took 30 minutes for the order. The food was maybe 3 star. The bartender took forever and I asked for my 3 drinks 3 different times I we got the bill. It was $97. I tipped $15. I left my staff. Heard the bartender say oh, he only tipped $15. Spokennoise after I left so our service was one star Wasnt worthy of leaving a tip? But I normally tip 20%. I just knocked 5% off, but her one star. Service was not worth it very poor bartender. She was busy, but she didnt look up time to make eye contact with any customer. She just ignored us, made her drinks very poor service, very poor attitude.She didnt appreciate fifteen dollars.Shes lucky she didnt get a zerobeing aware I worth a5 star tip she was not a good bartender. I will not go back.

Lobster tacos should be called pico tacos. It definitely wasn t 7 ounces of lobster and literally filled from top to bottom with pico. I don t mind paying $33 if it s a good meal but was certainly disappointed. The server was great but they appeared understaffed.

Worst experience of my life!! Empty tables and waited almost an hour. Ordered our food and everyone around us received their order before us. Then, my order was completely wrong. The fajitas were amazing. It was the best fajita steak meat I ever had & it was cooked medium, perfect juicy, tender & full of flavor. They also had an excellent drink selection. My review of Lupe. I had the Enchiladas con salsa verde. Food was good, but still had something s to desire, like more lime, more sour cream, and a bit more spice. Chips and salsa was good! Would I go back? Maybe. The price, 14 dollars for enchiladas and rice at the lunch menu is definitely a bit prices for the food. But flavors good and service was good. Overview: 4 stars by the time we walked out the door. Our experience started going direction of 2-3 stars, with food and service problems, but server turned it around and manager FULLY redeemed the overall experience. Details: My daughter and I were spending our last night of a quick vacation to Dallas by grabbing dinner at Lupes. She ordered a very basic burrito, and at the recommendation of the server I ordered one of the house specialties: 1/2 lb. meat trio fajita platter (steak, chicken, and shrimp) and recommended house made flour tortillas. Chips and salsa were good. Charro beans were an extra plus. My daughter had this oddity where the server kept ignoring her drink - a glass of water that she had gotten from the bar prior to sitting down. She wasnt asked for a drink to my recollection and then wasnt asked/given any refills until we asked after the entrees arrived. For entrees, my daughter really enjoyed her burrito and rice/beans. The burrito was reasonably sized, maybe a little smaller than a Chipotle burrito. She asked for a number of things left out and a few things on the side. They hit about 80% of that ask. She is a bit particular on what she eats and was still good with what was in the burrito. She was a huge fan of the flavor. Big win! My fajitas were not as beloved. Considering it was a $24 fajita plate and a signature dish, I had some high hopes. The shrimp was pretty good. The beef and chicken, not so much. I had two slices of beef that had good flavor. The rest were overcooked, some with a flaky metallic sheen. The chicken was all overcooked and chewy. Note: the meat platter photo was taken after a few shrimp were eaten. Disappointment didnt stop with the meat. The plate really fell flat with its fajita veggies. It arrived with only a small spoonful of sautéed onions, two slices of excessively charred jalapenos, and one mini grilled red pepper. While the side of guac and shredded cheese were fine. The pico de gallo was flavorless and contained reddish/whitish chunks that were hard to distinguish between tomatoes and onions (in flavor and color). Disappointment moved to confusion when it came to the house made flour tortillas. The plate came with 4x 12-inch house made flour tortillas. These were the same tortillas used for my daughters burrito. I now have 4x giant 12-inch tortillas and one tiny plate of fajitas. You would think that a place known for house made tortillas and house specialty fajitas, would have coordinated around making 6 tortillas sized for their fajitas instead of only 12 tortillas used for everything. When eating my first fajita, not surprisingly I found I was eating more tortilla than anything else. It didnt take long for me to eat all the food from the plate that I found appealing, and still find about half the plate full of food. Soon after, I asked our server for the bill and a to-go box for my daughter. The server asked if there were issues with my plate. I told her the truth about my meat being overcooked and chewy. I said it wasnt a big deal, wed just get the check and go. To her credit, she alerted the manager who came over immediately. I was okay leaving and being a little irked that my $24 plate of fajitas was lousy. I explained the situation and the manager was great in listening. But the manager wanted to make sure she made the situation right - which I really applaud her for. She started by indicating that she was going to take it off my bill, which was wonderful. She also went out of her way to make additional offers including cooking another one up for me there and sending me home with another for later - which I both declined as I was full, and we were flying out the next day. Her offers were greatly appreciated though. It spoke to her customer service and care. At the end of the experience, the way the situation was handled by manager and server left both my daughter and I thrilled. I may not have loved how it started, but I did love the overall experience!

We were all very happy with our visit last night and cant wait to return. The theming and ambiance is 100% on point. I love the mix textured faux walls, the lighting choices - everything. I only got a few really crappy pictures but plan to take more the next time we go. The food was excellent. When they bring your chips and salsa, you also get beans that are AMAZING. One downside was the limited choices on grilled veggies to sub the rice and beans (for a low carb diet) but my poblano chicken entree was WONDERFUL. The kids menu includes a small blue bell ice cream cup (vanilla or chocolate) with purchase which was great for enticing our 4 year old to finish his food and his portion size of mac and cheese was perfect for him. He ate every bite. The boys also got the ice cream taco and shared it, it was huge and they said it was delicious. We will be back! Dietary restrictions: Lots of low carb choices, however the seasonal veggies left a bit to be desired. It was carrots and Brussel sprouts when we went. Kid-friendliness: Free ice cream with purchase of kids meal - thats awesome!!! Our kiddo was thrilled.

Food was good not great. This is our second time tryimg Lupes. The first time was in Houston and that location was on point. Our waiter must have been new. It took him a minute to check on us after the food was served. The wife and I ordered the 1lb chicken, beef and shrimp combo. The beef had great flavor. The shrimp was tasty. The chicken... well tbh, it was like chewimg cardboard. And for the price we paid should have never passed the inspection process. The cooked onions were a small portion. I didnt see any bell peppers. The tortillas were as big as my head and turned hard after a few minutes. Loved the fact that they serve you a small portion of borracho beans with the salsa and chips. These guys are still better than Pappasitos. (And Im a huge fan of Pappasitos)

Usually, this is one of my favorite places for TexMex. Food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Service always spot on. However, this night, a Saturday night, March 30, 2024 was different. Service was terrible, unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. There must of been something in the a ir. A full moon perhaps. The moment I sat at the bar a customer was livid, irate would be putting it mildly. He was furious about the progamming selected on the TVs. No Rangers, Stars or any DFW area sports teams on the TVs. Manager could not figure how to change the stations. The customer was cursing very loud. F bombing was a frequent choice he used about the TV. I was embarrassed for him. Children, families around could hear his fine choice of words. He was so angry he gathered his food to go and left. That was the beginning of this very odd night. Then, my food never came . I sat at the bar waiting for almost an hour for a plate of enchiladas. Enchiladas plates take 10 minutes at the most. There was no urgency to get my meal out in a timely manner. I simply left on an empty stomach for the exception of the Charo Beans and water. I made my way down to Snuffers for my dinner. I hope this is an isolated incident. However, my experience on this night left me unhappy, and I will not be back for a very long time

They do not treat their employees right. My girlfriend worked here, and they lied about catering pay, and frequently asked her to leave after 1-2 hours on a shift. Management was supposed to correct her catering pay, but they drug their feet and did nothing. For a corporate training location, you d think they would operate ethically. Clearly, this is not the case. Avoid at all costs.

Pedro was our server. He provided exceptional service. My mother has dementia and the menu is overwhelming. Pedro was patient and calm. He remembered her preferences. He coached her to something that met her tastes. She was able to make a selection. When the meal came I was surprised that she ate the entire serving. Unfortunately, when we went to dinner for a friends birthday...the waitress almost ran us out...she lifted everything up without letting us eat August...every now and then they finished and we couldnt enjoy dinner...its the first place we go to dinner for a celebration and we were almost kicked out...some white people at other tables around us arrived just like us and we couldnt see the same thing that happened to us. Great times and wonderful dining experience at Lupes Tortillas. We came in with a large group of fifteen, after church on Sunday 03/03/24, and were sat right away even though the place was busy at the time. A young hispanic male waited on us and provided amazing and attentive service. He kept our beverages refilled throughout the meal and made sure to appropriately time the courses, as not to rush or spoil our dining experience. Appetizers were promptly served with an abundant amount of fresh chips, salsa and bean dip. We ordered the GRANDÍSIMO fajitas platter and it was by far one of the best fajita dishes that lve ever tried at a TEX-MEX restaurant. The fajita meat was tender and very juicy, also the bacon wrapped shrimp are delicious and very distinctive in flavor, compared to what you get at places specialized in seafood. Towards the end of our meal, the chef or kitchen manager Jake, came to our table to ask us if everything had gone as expected, and to make sure we were beyond satisfied with our experience at Lupes. He even assisted our server to present desserts an coffe, which definitely surprised our party, since it made everyone feel special and genuinely cared for. Kudos to everyone on staff. Overall outstanding food, service, atmosphere and value. Would definitely recommend this place to families and/or large groups, because as l mentioned, they are very accomodating and understanding of tables with kids and younger guests. -Blessings Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating of large groups with kids. This was an excellent experience. The food was outstanding. The service, I dont want to put this lightly because I think great service is pretty much the standard of excellence when you go somewhere, but these guys went over the top to make sure that the service was outstanding. I wanted to make that clear. The food was very good. The prices on some things were quite reasonable for the high quality of food. And other things were quite pricey, but Im sure it would have been well worth it for the quality and taste of the food and the amount you get as well. So dont let that turn you off from going here. Youre going to have a great experience. The atmosphere was really great. I really appreciate it. The decorations they had on the walls on the entrance and inside the restaurant. It was pretty busy at around noon when I went, so I would imagine that the place is quite busy most times in the evening as well. The high quality service and food and atmosphere must really draw the crowds back.

Big party. We were told over the phone by one manager that everything was set and that everyone would be able to order from the menu. The next day we arrive for our reservation and a different manager came out and told us we could only order fajitas and that s it. If want to keep our reservation it s fajitas or no reservation. The manager on duty was very rude. There s a difference between being assertive and straight rude.

Ronan or Ronald manager didn t give us a table while my 2 year old kid was starving and crying so barley because he was hungry didn t care to have that charitable assumption to seat our big group at different table or booths . We needed 3 booths at max 4 booths . But did not care at all so he is a pessimistic manager and just a manager , not a leader . We could give you guys a good business and good tips for the waitress and he didn t care at all until after he wanted to seat us down but we just decided to leave go somewhere else.He is a racist manager.

If I could give a 0 to the service on 1/27/2024 from 6pm to 8:00pm the manager Ronan or Ronald whatever his name is did not do the best attempt to seat a party who was celebrating a birthday party. In hospitality industry , Leaders deliver the best hospitality to their guests so they can leave with a smile. We were a big party and there was a. Extra room where the party could be taking place but decided not to open it just for the happiness of our party . I spoke to him frog and let him know that I am also a manager and that how is it possible for him to see kids waiting for 2 hours and not having a bite? Basically starving! It s an unacceptable behavior as a manager. I would never had let something like that happen because I do understand that the guest is always right. Very unacceptable he should not be in that position. We suggested we could seat down separate but he said no because the waitress would be confused. Like I said where is the part that the guest is always right? Unacceptable again !!!!

The margaritas were great. Be sure to order yours spicy style with the muddled peppers in there, it balances the sweet and salty perfectly. We only had one server assigned for our party of 20 but he worked hard to try to keep up with our needs. Overall the food was really good except the beef fajitas were a bit chewy. The large homemade flower tortillas were awesome.

Lupe Tortilla has some of the best beef fajitas Ive had. Its a little pricy, but you often get what pay for. Excellent quality beef with a delicious marinade cooked to perfection. They bring you a beautiful platter of guacamole, pico de gallo, and cheese. Rice and beans are top-notch, and the Lupe Perfect Margarita is just that. They give you huge tortillas that you can split up to make smaller tacos or just a giant fajita burrito.

I LIKE TACOS TOO ! The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the presentation of the food is spot on, but the food and the service could use some seasoning! The restaurant that use to be here was my favorite Italian Restaurant, The Macaroni Grill. So since I was in Addison, I decided to stop by and have some Tex-Mex. I mentioned to the hostess this was my first time at Lupe Tortilla. She gathered the menu and leaned over to a waitress (We will call V) to tell her this was my first time (Remember this for the end). I ordered a water and was quickly served chips with a decent salsa and delicious charro beans. After looking over the menu I settled on The Pablo Combo with a side of tortillas. Upon first sight everything looks appetizing but only the cheese enchilada and tamale had flavor. The taco meat wasnt bad but wasnt really anything to write about. The rice had a very strong smokey flavor to it and the refried beans were bland. But the tortillas were HUGE and homemade, I think. The service started off great and slightly dipped. After receiving my meal my glass was half full (lol choose your perspective) and it would not be refilled until I finished my meal and got the hostesses attention because my waitress was on the other side of the bar on her phone, then talking to co workers, then exited to the kitchen, etc... basically didnt look my way. And no there were maybe 8 customers in the entire establishment and a staff of 10 in the front, not including kitchen or buss boys. The icing on the cake was when the hostess sat a couple next to me. Before I began writing this the manager came by with a plate with two tacos on it and asked how everything was and as I was telling him it was fine. The manager then turned to them and said, I hear this your first time here so I brought you a sample of our tacos. Also as I write this their server and my server is back there eating. I can literally see V chowing down, on her phone and not paying attention to the free taco couple and myself. Still gets 12%. If youre reading this Mr. Manager this was my first time at any Lupe Tortilla and I like tacos too!!!! Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect wheelchair accessibility.

Love this place. I don t give out too many perfect reviews but was pleasantly pleased at all aspects of Lupe Tortilla. We came to the area for a party from Florida. We were only in town 4 days but returned here for a second fabulous dinner. Both servers and meals were terrific. A little bit of a wait over the weekend was expected. Loved the fresh chips and salsa. Great homemade guacamole. The salad could not be better. The chicken dish cooked nicely. The stuffed poblano pepper nicely grilled. Great job team.
