Tessa and the entire staff are great. It is busy on weekends and still safe, welcoming, and accepting. Drink prices are very reasonable (those that say different have their own issues that should prevent them from going out). Don t a butt and you ll enjoy yourself.

I m from out of town and I decided to stop there last Saturday night and it was a bad decision! Very sad to have such a ghetto place in downtown ,not only that it smelled really bad in there and the place looked very dirty , people were so hammered every corner. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone that is trying to have a good time In downtown cause that it s not it. Also my card got over charged so I assume they just charged extra tips.

She gets 5 stars for atmosphere being welcoming, diversity, and the music. She has something for everyone. This was place brings the good high frequency and to add class. There is not a person that steps in Fat Bosses that doesnt vibe to the rhythm of a clean & classy environment. Im always bragging about how neat & and order everything about this place is. Ive rocked with Tessa since day one she took over and will continue.

I have always been a fan of Fats, but ever since the owner brought Tessa on board, my support has gone through the roof. I have never seen the place more packed, clean and capable of accommodating drink/event requests. Tessa is the definition of professionalism and prides herself on ensuring that her employees provide top notch customer service. Abilene nightlife is better for it.

Had a good vibe but we sat at the bar to watch the game and a lady in a pink blazer (I think the manager) just stood there at the end of the bar literally right in front of us awkwardly. Made us uncomfortable so we left. It was just weird .

The general manager does not know what she is doing. The ac is always out cause holes in wall. She lets her friends and eat and drink for free so they will leave reviews about the place. She has no communication skills. She owes me my last paycheck and avoids me when I try to find out where it is. To be a gm you need to know how to cook and quit listening to friends. Go by owners recipes and not your own... My husband .still Has no check nearly 2 weeks later...

First time visiting this Horrible place!!! This isnt a business this place is a scam!! They will rob you blind!!! They dont tell u how much the drinks are they just run up your tab and then put a 30% gratuity on it for what!?! They literally took all my money I had no money for bills and gas and they didnt care. I have never went to a bar that didnt warn me about getting a shot that cost 90$$ like srsly my job is an upper class restaurant we sell really expensive drinks and we let our customers know the price and we also sell the same shot for 45$ so they are extremely over priced and rude. The only way these ppl are open is because they happily rip ppl off. Never going back. Warning all my friends to do the same. I hope it closes and never reopens.

Be aware that depending on your bank, you will get double or triple charged, I used my Chase card accepted most places, but here upon signing my tab, I got hit twice at the bank, and when I asked them why I got double charged their response was, it depends on your bank. They said it will drop off, but I am sure the rest of the world knows that if you go negative on your account despite what an establishment says, you get hit with a fee for insufficient funds. Oh, and the next day, I got hit with an additional charge I did not sign for, even if I called to complain, it would not matter the fee will still ensue!! So if you go to Fat Bosss, have double your tab money if using a credit/debit card, your bank may be on the list of It depends on who your bank is.

Service and drinks were great. Only reason for the 1 star is for the food. I m the only one who didn t eat but my friends who ate got the burger, wings, and fish and chips both of them got sick within an hour after leaving. Other than the food poisoning drinks and hospitality were awesome. Would come again for the drinks.

This is my second visit to Father Boss. 1st time... unimpressed. Drink was watery... decided not to try food. 2nd time much better... drinks mixed correctly so tried 1 lb. French Fries...it really is about a pound and could feed 4...there were 2 of us and we tried hard to eat them all... very well prepared. Prices are higher, but expected for DT Abilene area. All-in-all, a good visit and I recommend Fat Boss to others.

Late nite Dress code is wierd and highly unappreciated...staff should be wearing sleeves as well as the patrons...wont be going back...too bad cause sales are lost this way. My first visit there is my last visit along with 4 of my friends that could have put some $ in your till !!

Kitchen does a good job, food varies from decent to very good. Cold beer and good craft choices. Waitstaff is on the mark. Prices are average. It is bar food for the most part but I found one of the burger specials was a not to be missed treat. You may feel the need to skip dinner... the fish tacos are 3 not the usual 2 and they make em spicy! Its worth a return trip. Good crowd on fridays at lunch.

Ive now been here twice. The food at lunch was pretty good & MAYBE worth a 2nd star. However, even during a not busy lunch the service was questionsble at best. On a Friday night the service was so non-existent that we left. When asked about beers on tap the bartender gestured toward the taps... on the wall... 15ish feet away. We chose beers & asked if it was okay to move to a table to order food. 20 minutes later no one had taken our order in spite of servers walking past us several times & looking at near empty glasses & menus on the table. Beer tab was $13 for 2 pints. Not worth it.

Great downtown establishment at a perfect location. Amazing bartenders, cooks and servers. Has a daily lunch special during the week and drink specials. Several televisions adorn the walls and a juke box is at the establishment. The food is amazing and this is a very recommended place to go.

The food is great and Sunday brunch was always awesome. But when the service is horrible it makes the food not so good. The new manager (Josh) who has a bad attitude & a mean disposition needs to be replaced and never allowed to work in the service industry again. We used to go there all the time, but they have lost this loyal customer (as well as Mr. H & his employees) already & will loose more because of that managers attitude. Hey Josh, get a job where you DO NOT talk to customers,,, and get attitude adjustment therapy, cuz u need it.
