We got to vagabond around 530 or so and luckily got a seat right away. Just after we sat down, my daughter started feeling bad. We told our waitress we would need our food to go. Our waitress was so incredibly nice and expedited our food for us. When we got home to eat, the pizza was awesome! We were so blown away by the customer service and the quality of the food. We have had great experiences here before, but this was just awesome. We will definitely be back again soon.

We tried Vagabond for the first time on Sept 9th and WOW!! The food and selection of beer was fantastic! I wish I could remember the gentleman s name who waited on us but he was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu and selection of beer and his customer service was absolutely phenomenal! We will definitely request him next time we are in! We ordered two pizzas and had two beers as-well and our check was about $50 and we agreed we would have paid double the price for the experience, customer service and the amazing food! We will definitely be back soon!

The place had a nostalgic reflection. A sense of belongingness or socialite. We came in late, and they shut their doors soon afterward. They treated us as if we were their first customers of the day. How awesome is that? The service was on point, and the food was so delicious. Big serving sizes. I had to take mine home. Go check this place out. You will be glad you did. I am. Parking: I had to park on the side street. I was worth it.

My husband and I visit Vagabond every time we are in Abiliene. Everything is absolutely phenomenal. You might have to wait for a table, but it s worth the wait! The attention and love put into the food can be felt- it is fresh and delicious. This time I got the quail pasta with fried capers, it was AMAZING. My husband got the carnivore, and we shared the bread and butter. Which is a MUST! I always recommend vagabond to anyone going to abiliene!

Its a delightfully different pizza spot! The hostess was kind and straightforward about the availability and made it easy to put my name down so I didnt have to stay on-site to get a table, which I appreciated with the crowd that was being drawn. Ashley the server was also very attentive and kind. I had the Lucia pizza paired with a nice citrus blonde beer, both were wonderful. The combo of bread, cheese, and salami topped with jalapeño jelly was such an intriguing menu item that I had to try, and I highly recommend others doing so. All around a great experience and I will be returning when in town!

What a gem in a gem of a downtown area! The attention to detail and sourcing of best ingredients makes Vagabound far superior to most pizza places. While this might sound odd, you cant skip the bread and butter. The Lucia with the jalapeño jam sauce is my new favorite pizza with hands down, the best crust Ive ever had.

Today I decided to eat pizza but I wanted to go somewhere new. Impressive how they make pizzas in the oven, you can see the whole process. They have a great variety of wine and the place is very cozy. The water is served in wine bottles, and I dont know why but I loved the idea. Everything was very tasty and the service was spectacular. As for the price...its expensive but not exaggerated, its worth going and changing the scene, and its also downtown, so its a good place for a date.

Pizza isnt usually my favorite, I thoroughly enjoy all the varieties of pizza offered at Vagabond. They also have an excellent wine selection. During my last visit, I indulged in a sparkling Rose. For starters, I typically opt for the bread and butter, and for a pizza, the Bianca is my usual choice. However, on my last visit, I decided to try the Lucia, and if you enjoy the combination of spicy and sweet, this pizza would be a great option for you. It has become my new favorite. Since this place does not accept reservations, I recommend arriving earlier rather than later.

Have always enjoyed coming here for pizza and a glass of wine. A pizza really only serves one; unless you get an appetizer then you can serve 2 without being over stuffed. We always get bread with basil butter(so so good!). We ve probably tried all the pizzas and it s hard to recommend just one but the Lucia is our go to. Parking: Located downtown which can be busy at night. We usually can find parking within 2 blocks. There s some great restaurants places to visit nearby so we always split the distance between here and a place to grab drinks after!

A bit hard to find. Apple Maps took us to the place, but their name was not on the green canopy. We passed it and drove around the block before finally parking and just walking to look for it. Took over 20 minutes to be seated, but we were initially greeted by the hosted with a big smile so the wait didnt bother us. Seemed like others were getting seated before we were, but that could be due to maybe them making reservations, I dont know. The atmosphere of the establishment was nice, it was dim and romantic. The pizza choices surprised me. No regular pepperoni :) We chose the Arabella pizza (tomato sauce, cheese, peppers, ground beef). Not much cheese on there, maybe its the style of pizza they offer??? I dont know. It was fresh and the tomato sauce was pretty flavorful, but I guess Im more of a regular ol pizza type gal. The waitress (Molly, perhaps?) was friendly and efficient. The hostess did run after us once we walked out because my husband left his phone, so that was super sweet of her

Alyssa (unsure of the spelling) was a fantastic hostess and extremely accommodating. Her hospitality was top-notch. We were from out of town and needed help locating the restaurant. There is no sign, except for the restaurants name on the window. Alyssa noticed that the sauce was too spicy for our daughter who was celebrating her fifth birthday. Alyssa took it upon herself to bring out a pizza with less spice for our daughter. Alyssa helped make our daughters fifth birthday extra special by including a small dessert for her BDAY celebration. The food is always great. I love the Lucía & Bella. The bread with butter is a must. We love going for birthdays. The building was hot the day we went. It was to get drink refills. Vagabond pizza downtown for lunch. Far more spacious inside than it looks from outside. Seated quickly, our server was quite nice in the beginning then perhaps got a bit distracted. Pizza arrived very promptly, My daughter had the Margherita, while I prefer sliced tomatoes they use a more generic crushed tomato sauce. The basil was fresh and quite aromatic. I had the Mona- described as ground beef, mozzarella, toum garlic sauce, arugula, vinaigrette the garlic was very forward but overall it just tasted like well seasoned beef. Bread, sauce, vinaigrette- just wasnt much going on. Its a great idea, and certainly wasnt bad - just wanted some small WOW! For those prices, shouldnt be just ok. We did have a bit of trouble with paying out and getting change but the owner handled it well. Overall, its a nice vibe and very well executed space. Beer selection is nice. I will probably give it another chance.

The size of the pizza did not reflect the price we had to pay. $20 for what looked smaller than a medium sized pizza. I remember coming here when it was newer. There was NOTHING downtown. It was dead! I had just moved to Abilene, from Chicago, and I didnt feel like I belonged here. I missed Chicago pizza and the ambiance of the chic downtown restaurants. As soon as I opened the door and saw the inside, I felt like I was home! The food was excellent, too. Now, 7 years later, im back in Abilene, and of course, I had to get some pizza from here! I started with the Vagabond salad. It was delicious! The balsamic threw me! It was kind of like a paste consistency, but when you shake it up with the salad, you get magic. I love that the vinegar flavor covered everything without adding liquid to it. Nicely done! I also ordered the Adalina pizza, and it was scrumptious. Generously covered with all the ingredients. Im so glad its still as good as I remember!

I went a year ago, and I was imprest about the pizza, how good and close to the original Italian pizza as I grew up in Italy. I went back a month ago, and the pizza was so liquidy in the middle and was all crust. My only thought is that they have changed the pizza maker or they are saving on the ingredients. Update 12-15-22. Still one of my favorites. The pizza is done in real wood oven and its head and shoulders above. Best choice of craft beer on tap and otherwise, Tap House being right there with them. Exceptional wine list as well. Update 12-18-19. On a Wed. it was packed by noon. One party of 30+ Great food, great drink, great service! Arrive early. Enjoy!

A hidden gem downtown Abilene TX. Caprese was one of the best. The pizza so good I forgot to snap a picture. Prices are reasonable. Our waitress was on top of it. Would definitely come back.

Ate here a few days ago. The pizza was good, but not the best in Abilene. The service was good too from the younger workers. However when the owner spoke to my group, he was unpleasant and full of himself. Talking himself up and just going on and on. How humble not a fan. It s one thing to be proud and another to be boastful. I don t think I ll be returning to Vagabond.

What a great pizza! This place in Abilene is very similar to Cane Rosso that many people will be familiar with in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Amazingly friendly staff greets you in and out of the establishment. I sat at the bar by the oven and watched all the pizza action. The bartender was knowledgeable about all of the beers on tap and made suggestions when asked. They have a small but solid craft beer selection and multiple wines by the glass/bottle. The pizzas are outstanding. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving through Abilene and want to grab a great pizza. They also sell t-shirts, hoodies, and ball caps. If you want a souvenir.
