Too many minions behind the counter. They were almost jumping over each. The pizza has potential. I like cheese, but too much cheese makes the pizza too wet and unable to fully cook in the middle. It was truly twice as much cheese as it should have been. I see why kids like this place, but Brick Oven is much Much better.

I came here today for lunch. There was a line all the way to the door. I thought it would take a long time to get to eat. It was pretty quick. I had the original crust red sauce, cheese, pepperoni, ham, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and jalapenos. It was pretty good.

Best pizza in town. Theyre smaller but shareable. Unlimited toppings makes it so every time you go you can get something new and interesting. They have beer and wine too for dine in and not a bad place to eat inside or out when the weather is nice. Only recommendation would be give us bigger sizes!

They absolutely made my daughter and I feel very welcomed. The gentleman was so kind and even informed us that we needed to be careful opening up the garlic dipping sauce because it likes to come out of the cup. Even though its a little pricey its absolutely worth it Id go back and they need to incorporate a lactose free option. My daughter and boyfriend are both lactose intolerant. But she absolutely loves their pizza. And Im a fan myself this was the first time I ever went. Dietary restrictions: They do have a gluten free option but not a lactose free option that Im aware of. They also have cauliflower crust.

Ok. I always Order on Line, because I am disabled. If you don t order from this Restaurant, I dont know what you are waiting for. You can order from other fast food pizza places but if you want to receive the best quality of pizza, and the Best price, this place is it. Im from NYC, and this is the best example, of a NYC style pizza, that I have tasted in Abilene. They are always eager to make my pizza correctly, and they always get my pizza perfectly as I order it. My husband and I just tried for the first time ever We really loved how the food taste and the quality of ingredients . Price was not bad at all for unlimited toppings . We placed an order through slice as we have done plenty of times before. We placed the order at 9:30p. We received a call from the driver asking to cancel the order because when he arrived at Pizza by design they did not allow him to pick up the order. My husband called him the restaurant directly and they confirmed that they did print out the ticket at 9:40p but they close orders at 9:45p and did not make the order nor did they offer to make it. They just told the driver to leave and didnt cancel it in the system. Their response to my husband was that they can make it tomorrow morning. Slice wont cancel the order until the morning since they have to wait for the restaurant to cancel it.

First time trying the Keto Low Carb Crust. It was better than most. Thin, crunchy and has a good flavor. With the wide variety of free toppings it makes for a great Keto change of pace. Pizza is always a challenge when it come to Keto but here it wasn t. Build it how you like it for one price , I ll be back for sure. Fresh and fast is hard to beat. I think pretty much everybody loves Pizza By Design! Basically the personal (10 ish) pizza version of Subway... go down the line telling them what toppings you want on your pizza then they put on the conveyor belt oven and like 5 minutes later you re eating! Tons of topping choices and it s a flat rate per pizza... if you just want chicken and spicy pizza sauce, maybe regular sauce and 5 kinds of cheese, maybe 3 different meats and lots of vegetables... still the same price! The inside is always very clean (although the seating isn t very comfortable) with nice people and easy curbside pickup if you call in your order! Highly recommended!

Absolutely love the place. Its a great concept & a locally owned business in Abilene. Its fast and the product that they serve is delicious. Due to recent dietary changes requiring a reduction in carbs, decided to order pizzas with cauliflower crust. They were amazing! My wife and I were both pleasently surprised at both the quality and taste of end product. The fact that the staff always seems friendly and upbeat added to the experience. Duplicate, cheap version of MOD pizza... Design your pizza is just the tag line to attract customers but the staff will tell you how to set the toppings...The staff is trained so well to fake things that.. if you ask for chkn then they will pick up few strands of chkn and then break it into approx 15 small chunks to spread all over..even if you ask for mozrella then they will spread their hand in such a manner that it will pick up handfull of it... but in reality they will pick up few with their fingers and spread it.. to avoid u asking them to add extra they will play deaf... or their cashier will stop u saying their pizza machine will get burnt...thats Pathetic to hear when you are designing your own pizza and being stopped... Also, their small pizza machine where u put raw pizza at one end it take 3mins to cook and comes out on the other end.. Pizza bake time 3 min but no one available at the cash counter to serve so the pizza is left to turn cold unless one of their staff realizes OH!!! this thing needs to be served ...(check images) Also, undercooked pizza bad for Health

I feel like this place could be really good. We really wanted to like our pizzas, but found the toppings very skimpy. Price is great, but Id rather pay more and get consistent toppings on my pizza. This was the example of their buffalo chicken pizza. Our other pizzas looked similar. Either complete slices without toppings or very minimal toppings. Our DYO pizza toppings werent too bad, but there wasnt hardly any cheese or sauce.

Unclean place with poor service. They charged us $10 extra with no details on the receipt which we realized only later that night when we actually checked back the receipt. Make sure you check it right there. We were traveling and decided to eat dinner at this place seeing all the good reviews. But was very disappointed. Do not recommend this place. Very unwelcoming staff. Had to ask for water several times. My son went and picked silver ware on his own from desk as no one responded us at all.

We have visited several times before, but I felt like I needed to take a second to leave a review after yesterdays visit. After we are thawing out from Snomageddon 2021 my boys and I were running errands around Abilene. Many places were closed or could serve food, but no drinks. As soon as they realized we were close by Pizza by Design they wanted to eat lunch there. We were greeted by several busy employees that were all kind and eager to help customers. Despite the week many of us have had they were happy, friendly, and made sure everyone had a great experience. You team on duty for lunch yesterday deserves all the stars!! I walked out in a better mood than when I came in due to their friendliness. Thanks for a great lunch and amazing service!

Had to wear a mask until I came in the door . Then you can walk around inside with no mask . Brought out the wrong order . Updated review: Customer service here has gotten much better. Thank you for providing such friendly employees and training them so well for COVID craziness!! I get a gluten free crust with feta. It is so important for me to have this one thing right, and they nail it every time. Plus, there is no issue when I ask for the other requests to make sure it tastes like norma pizza. The several times Ive been to both Abilene locations, there has never been more than a maybe 5 other people there, so never a long wait at all, and perfect for taking a small group of people along. The pop art wall art is just the best; makes for a trendy/casual atmosphere. The prices are great too. I always get the kids pizza, as its a perfect size and is the cheapest, but the regular-size isnt bad at all. I love the variety of sauces (buffalo is my favorite), but sometimes wish there was a slightly bigger variety of toppings.
