We got the Carne Guisada and it was sooooo good! We decided to try the bean and potato and it was really good. Good size for the burrito. They don t post the prices though so that is the one thing I didn t like about it and that is why I gave 4 stars. Definitely recommend and will be back!

Again arrived at 0600 doors not open until 0612. Your customers have places to be. Open at. 0600 like you advertise!! Management/owner step up and do your job. Sign on door says they open at 0600. Arrived a bit after 0600, and the door was locked, and all the lights werent on. Various employees are just driving up to start the day. The parking lot is still horrendous! Unacceptable!

Ordered two potato bacon and cheese burritos but wanted to add sausage to one and get charged 2 dollars extra. When I asked why they didn t ring it up as the same burrito, they said there is nothing they can do that s just how they do it . Worst burritos I have had in a long time. I ordered 4 of them with bacon, egg, and potato. They were loaded with an extreme amount of undercooked potatoes and burnt eggs. There was barely any bacon that was mixed into the eggs and not slices like other restaurants. Twenty dollars for 4 burritos that were very disappointing.

I love their food.....only I must say that the same person who cooks the good tasting food should always cook it. Because sometimes the food tastes different as if somebody else cooked it. I went asked for a picadillo burrito and it was sooooo good....another different time I went and it was just plain potato and hamburger meat dry I mean it was very dry I didnt like it. The carne guisada burrito is my favorite it is sooooo good. Parking: I dont like the parking area. They need a make over. It has big rock chunks and sometimes I cant park because no parking space . If they would redo the parking area and put asphalt and make it smooth this place would look nicer.

This spot is the best of all the Popular locations as its not ever AS crowded (while still being usually busy). The food is always fresh and tastes great! Everyone is nice as well. While none of the Polular restaurants are big on atmosphere, they do have something on the TV most of the time and room to sit and enjoy your breakfast/lunch. And its never been dirty although you might find a table or two that hasnt been bussed in a few minutes. Most people seem to grab and go. This particular location doesnt offer a drive thru though. So keep that in mind. Both the Treadaway and south 1st options do. Parking: The parking while easily available is sometimes tough to grab when busy and you kinda have to make up your own space from time to time! The lot and road is usually riddled with potholes do be prepared for that in this location. One of the biggest downfalls here minus the drive thru. With that said, still my favorite spot of them all.

Its really good only downfall is they are super expensive by Dyess. They up their prices because of the base near by. I bought 4 burritos and it was $17 when I go to Treadaway Popular, I can get 6 burritos for $14. I try not to go to this one unless Im just buying for myself only. Food

La Pops has gone downhill. My kids usually order 2 carne guisada, 4 bacon and egg. While my 9 year old is super picky on his eggs la Pops was the one place I could get him to eat and now they dont make it the same, we did watch someone not wash there hands after not going to the restroom but service was great and the people are nice!

La Pops is a local favorite. A must try if visiting Abilene. The carne guisada burrito is one of the most popular burritos. These burritos are really good. The only thing is that when they make potatoes with egg I dont hardly see no potatoes I see more egg than potatoes. I hope they improve.
